Noob question here:

I have a ring with three gems in it. When I went to the blacksmith to repair my equipment just now, the ring cost 1 gold to repair. But as soon as I did, its repair price jumped to over 5000 gold pieces.

What gives ?

Rings can't have 3 gems, you have a hacked item and it probably bugged him out.

I'm jumping in the middle of the topic just now, this has probably been already discussed but... What the hell is up with online in this game? There's cheaters EVERYWHERE. Bad, bad move to allow people to import saves from the 360. Is Microsoft or Blizzard gonna do something about those guys?

Worst part is that the crap gets sent around and half of them don't even know they're cheating. But no, they probably won't do anything. Pretty sure it's gonna ruin the online in the long term as fast as it's spread.

It's a hacked item. Not all of the stats transfer well over to current gen so because some values are now bugged or missing you get that kind of repair cost.

Yes, but they are pretty rare. I got a couple pieces for my wizard and crusader from her.

Once u r 70 and beat the game just play your bounties and rifts on normal, as you get no further rewards unless you jump til torment.

Some people who imported their saves on from PS3 > PS4 carried over their hacked equipment. Not sure why Blizzard didn't check that.

Nope, also on the PS4/XBone versions. Hacked items and duping of items is pretty common. So much so that I don't think the console version has much of a future unless Blizzard addresses. Sure, you can only play with your friends, and the game isn't competitive, but it's still bothersome enough. And only playing solo or with your friends is really limiting (joining public games is actually pretty fun, esp when your friends aren't on). People are even buying and selling hacked items on ebay. Sigh. I expected more from Blizzard, to be honest.

Yes, I got a Jade set helm for my WD. BUT STILL NO MASK OF JERAM. Probably spent somewhere around 1k shards on helms at this point.

Well you still get way more gold and exp (paragon levels) so I would always play at as high a difficulty as possible without dying to fast / killing to slow.

How do I even know the best place to find a given legendary? Like if I wanted to grind for a good Slorak's Madness, how would I even go about it? Is it true L70 legs don't drop <T1?

I would say... most people playing T6 right now are cheating. I don't have one T6 character in the PC version with several hundred hours played. Granted I have every class at 70 and decently geared except 1 or 2. A lot share certain items. Maybe if you're dedicated to just one class and play like a maniac you could have a T6 character on console, but those people are few and far between.

And this brings me to one of the reasons I don't really feel like playing the game much anymore; too much cheating. I like to play online, see what other gear people have, feel like I'm in some sort of community where I know that if you put in the time and are lucky enough you'll get good shit. You get something, more or less by the grace of RNG you've earned it. But on the console version of this game cheating is just too easy. Like, you can spend all your shards, and if you don't get anything you want just close the game out from the menu and start it again and you have all your shards and can try again. That's bullshit. I want to play on fair playing field. You have people abusing that, importing weapons from the base game with like 20k dps and 3 sockets. It's bullshit. It ruins the economy, everything is worthless. I could put a few hundred hours into the game and have an amazing T6 character with crazy good gear, rightfully earned and the sense of accomplishment to go with it, or I could have a hacked weapon and re-roll shards forever and in a quarter of the time or even much less do the same thing. I would never do that, but there are a lot of people that are and will, and in turn it makes my accomplishment pointless.

I feel like I'll have to move back to the PC version unless they patch the game to have seasons and make the characters save server-side or something. I don't even know if that's possible at this point.

I have to admit, I find it pretty funny that you complain about cheating and then go ahead and post an exploit. There's cheating, we know, we get it. Don't have to go out of your way to tell people how to do it

If it's like the bounties, you also get better gems. Not having to combine effectively makes you a good bit of cash.

Yes, just run bounties in Adventure Mode. Way better than going through the story again.

Once you're 70, just get a Level 70 legendary. A level 66 weapon will basically be worthless compared to them. You won't be able to get the higher numbers of a level 70. And that particular affix might be an inherent part of the weapon and can't be changed. Some other items are like that.

I suddenly have the urge to pick this up for the PS4. I bought the PC version at release but didn't play it extensively. What turned me off the most was the click to move system, I really can't get into that for some reason. I did enjoy everything else about the game, despite not getting too far, from what I remember.

How does it control on the PS4? Should I give the PC version another shot instead of buying it again? Will it be somewhat accessible to my gf, who has never played this type of game before or is it pretty hardcore?

Gotcha. Thanks. Yeah, didn't even mean to do the re-roll I did. For some reason, I thought when I chose the affix I wanted to re-roll, it would present me with a list of possible outcomes so I could decide if it was worth it, but it just immediately did the re-roll instead. =/

Blizzard should not let this cross save to happen between the last gen and current gen. That was a huge mistake.

The ONLY way to get it is from Act 1 Horadric caches. Doesn't matter the difficulty

Torments I believe have a greater chance to drop them..I got one not long (40 minutes of rebooting) after switching to Torment 6. Had played countless games in master straight through for days and got cache after cache of nada.

I got the Cuisses of Akkhan and need some help deciding what to enchant on it.

It already has a gem slot, but I've pretty much narrowed what I want down to two options: Enchant my one gem socket for two gem sockets, or enchant either 816 life per second or +12% punish damage for +500 vitality.
