PlayStation Network Thread (Vita/PS3/PS4) | September 2014

Well, the Spyro PS1 games are the US versions, and ironically they only work on Vita in Europe. So that's something worth keeping an eye on.
That and Resident Evil 2 and 3 is all that's worth something on the European side of the PSOne classics.

Yeah, I saw that and was wondering about it. Makes no sense. Love me some Spyro, though. 10€ for the trilogy is a great deal.

Finished chapter 2 of Danganronpa. I would love to see anyone who beats the game in one go. It is only the second chapter and I already feel very tired. My head hurts with all the twist and emotion.

With how Sony promotes the game recently, I think we will have another discount for the first game not to long from now on, so anyone who is still on a fence about the game should wait to give the game a chance.

I throw my choice to you guys, as I'm awful at decisions:

Wait for Minecraft PS4, which might release this week, or go for OlliOlli? I've never played Minecraft, though have had a general curiosity in it, and OlliOlli looks right up my alley. Choose!

look for minecraft videos and see what its about, its a polarizing game some love it some hate/dislike it

Well, the former grants you (I think? I know this is the case with the PS3/Vita version) cross-buy with all platforms and the PS4 version looks to be the best console version out there (largest worlds outside of the PC and Mobile versions). Never played Minecraft myself, but it seems to be a fun building game :).

The latter is a very fun and arcade-y skateboarding game that seems to be a 2D Tony Hawk game. You can find footage of the game on Youtube or somewhere for stronger impressions (I don't own it myself, so can't really give it a fair opinion X(). Keep note that both the PS4 and Vita versions are buggy (the former having issues with the leader-boards while the latter having bad crashing problems). Hope this helps :).

Yesterday I opened it and it took me 7hrs from the beginning to the end of chapter 1, I just couldn't stop. I feel like the chapters are indeed longer, but they have so many friggin twists and turns. I simply gave up trying to guess "whodunit" about halfway through. The plot is just so well laid out, this second one easily beats DR1 by a large margin.

Just finished Danganronpa 2. What a ride, loved every character except Gundham Tanaka which I found annoying. I think I can safely say that it's way better then the first game. Now VitaGaf should I start Demon Gaze, Child of light, or Akiba's trip 2?

Buy virtues last reward if you want in on one of the greatest stories ever told.

People should start it only after they finished 999, I really regret diving in VLR and then 999.

I would say go for Demon Gaze. Although not too plot heavy, the characters in it are great. Could say the same thing about Akiba's Trip. So now just pick, great characters, turn-based or great characters, action-based :P

It's much more advisable to play 999 first with good reason, but I played them the other way around and it still had a massive impact on me. You could look at 999 as a prequel or something. Anyway play 999 first if possible, if not you'll still enjoy them like I did in any order.

Wish they'd update these prices already!

What a great start to the day, Velocity 2X (PS4 & Vita), Playstation Battle Royale (Vita), Joe Danger (Vita) and TxK (Vita) all downloading nicely at the cost of $0!. This month alone pretty much covered a year cost of Playstation Plus! Love that you can claim your Vita games on the PS4 now as the vita store seems to lag behind a bit, enjoy the games guys.

OlliOlli is fun, but can get incredibly frustrating if you're not tenacious. Minecraft is huge and can be enjoyed in many ways. Like comparing chalk and cheese though honestly.

Thanks for the replies! I decided to go for OlliOlli for the time being. I like what I saw of Minecraft, though, so I'll probably end up picking that up near the end of the month once Destiny has been defeated.

Edit:

Very true about their being different entirely. I play most of everything, so I imagine both are good choices for me, just a matter of when I get one over the other.

Oh ok. Thank god.

Yea, I hate artificial barriers to saving. Though the Vita is perfect for such games, since as long as you are playing only one game at a time, you can just press the power button to turn off the screen mid session and then you are back where you were when you come back. Served me very well in FFX HD. Doesn't help if you like to take a break from longer games with other games though, but still a nice option if the game is being shitty about saves.

The 4th Muramasa DLC is probably the shortest. Aye, all 4 of them only have 3 bosses, but everything is quick to reach on this one. Her bosses are easy too (but she's a beast even at low level, so yeah).
Now, to the second ending!

Two much two despair :)

If I may ask, Flandy that artwork that you are using as your background looks great? Is it some sort of original work from someone, or based off of an existing thing?

You're keeping your four favorite Vita games on that page, right?
I plead the fifth

Has Vita image compression always been that bad?

It isn't that bad. The reason why this particular image is really compressed is because I uploaded it to twitter since the flickr app is still broken -__-

I have no idea if it's original work or if it's fanart. I found it like a year ago and have been using it since.

Just started Chapter 2 of Danganronpa. Good grief. That twist threw me for a loop. I had originally thought that
Sayaka was acting like a ho and had invited someone over to sleep with in Makoto's room, but then I realized she had done it to lure someone in to kill. The fact that she had played Makot and was planning on pinning it on him had my jaw on the floor.
This game mayne. This game is too good so far.

You haven't seen anything. Final case will make your mind implode.
