See, if my only problem was a lack of depth, that'd be one thing. But this is somehow worse than an excuse plot.

Whatever courier was delivering it is probably inundated with orders and against the clock. I'm guessing they had to deliver a fair few items today in your area.
Like I said, there's still a chance Amazon might be able to sort this out, but I bet their phone lines are getting hammered with similar calls today either way lol.
If anyone is wondering where all their code special vendor items are (the Grimoire cards, Emblems and Shaders you unlocked on Bungie.net prior to launch), they need to be activated on Bnet first.... this has stumped many people including myself.
Just go to Profile->Codes->Activate each code you want and it's GG.
To add to your post, I had already activated them a few days ago, but after starting playing today I had to go to bungie.net to activate them again.
So if people are not seeing the emblems at the special orders person in the tower, then go to bungie.net again to check if another activation is needed.
Well I've just got off the phone with them. They can't guarantee it will be delivered today.

First official crucible match in the full game and I pulled a 7400 with 33 kills and 4.13 k/d. Playing solo too.

I've heard. Do the missions get boring quick or something? I loved Halo back in the day, campaign and all, originally I thought Destiny would be able to match it.

Has anyone gotten pre-order bonus codes emailed to them from Amazon yet?
Hmm, once I got to the moon my hope that the game would really start to grab me in a new environment deflated fast. The game is alright but it's pretty disappointing coming from Bungie. The story and its missions are bland and made to fit on top of their modular/mmo template. The AI continues to underwhelm as I assumed it would when I first played the beta. Combat is so basic compared to an actual shooter like Halo and for a grindy mmo I think I'd rather just play Diablo 3. I'll stick with it for a while longer though.

Wondering this too. I haven't received codes for either of my 3 orders. Amazon is usually good at sending out those codes (always get them actually), so I'm thinking they might just be in the actual game or packing slip?
Where do I pick these up? Do they unlock after a certain level?

I am a massive massive PC masterrace fanboy and if a game doesn't run at 60fps for me on my PC I get mad and can barely play it.
Yet I have not even thought about the framerate in Destiny since I started playing it.
I think it's because usually with consoles, I am used to the frames dropping all the fucking time when something happens on screen. But with this game, the framerate just sticks. And that makes it seem a lot smoother than it really is.
to be honest, the vanguard gear is mostly garbage, but you can find the vendor for it in the Hanger in the Tower

You mustn't play many games above 60 FPS then. This is the first 30fps Shooter I have played in months and it is very very noticeable if you are primarily a console player you probably wont notice it .
If you mean in-game and not the code, I believe it's at the Vanguard armory, on the right side of the tower next to the shipwright

It's not so much the repetitive level design (though that's an issue), it's that they story is just being told so incredibly poorly. There's an interesting plot in there somewhere, but they've basically made a succession of impressively poor decisions when it comes to telling it.
Yeah, the basic feature set is kind of weak. Still, that core gameplay loop is just so damn good.
