im having a lot of fun but getting booted out of a singleplayer mission because of internet problems is annoying

why not make an offline mode for people who play alone ?

I don't get how if you're going to play a strike, why aren't you using a mic? The fucking system comes with one. So annoying. It's not possible to play strikes with randoms, so frustrating.

These error messages I keep getting are huge bummer. I haven't been able to finish a single Crucible match, always disconnects middle of match with "bee" error code. And on top of that, it often kicks me out of Tower too with error code "beaver". Very dissapointing since I can't really trust on this game working and other MP games work without problems.

I was planning to buy a PS4 just to play Destiny, but after all these impressions, saying that the story is terrible and the single player content is lacking, made me rethink my purchase.

Since there are more people playing the game right now, how is it? I'm open to co-op, but is true that if I try to play it solo I'd be really disappointed? And is it true that there is no story giving context to the missions?

Lol I have no idea wtf the story is. If you dont pay attention its flies over the head. It really has the worst format for story telling I must say. I haven't tested this but story missions became open for other lvls so u can mayb play in any order. Besides that stuff, co op is a blast, you will enjoy everything, solo stuff is awesome to provided that you care about the character lvling up and loot and discovering new things. The only disappointment is the way they tell the story with its mission based concept.

What happens after a disconnect like that?

When you're back in the game where do you end up starting? Are the checkpoints decent? Or does it put you back in orbit?

It puts you in orbit and you reload, but there are actually checkpoints. Dunno if I got lucky or not since I just got to the no respawn zone before it happened but it started me at the beginning of one of those sections, so it doesn't make you totally restart atleast.
