Ok.

Installing now on my brand new white ps4.

Made a new psn ID, so ignore my last post about this if you saw it.

I'm pretty good at shooters. Had a strong k/d in the beta in Crucible (4:1).

Looking for new friends. I'm UK based.

All types of players, any skill level for pve and pvp. Would also like confident players specifically for Raid content.

That's only strikes. Roaming normal story missions or roaming an area picking up quests the game won't pair you up with anyone. If someone hops in sporadically then that's just the jump in jump out multi-player doing what it does. A friend or a friend of a friend has joined you.
 
Missed this game so much from the beta. Had to work today, so I didn't get online at midnight to play, but woke up 2 hours before normal this morning and plowed through the first 3 missions. Currently at level 4 nearing level 5 and can't wait to play more tonight.
 
I'm really trying to love my hunter, but man, that golden gun is killing the mood.

Nova bomb and hulk smash are amazing but golden gun is so easily wasted, it's not even funny. I fire it up and then I pray I get at least one kill before someone zapps me.

I'd roll bladedancer, but that subclass seems useless outside PVE (if someone tried it in PVP, your input would be appreciated).

Any suggestions GAF? I really love hunter class, but its Super sucks huge balls. The main reason I love Hunter is his double jump move which is perfect for vertical movement, much better than lift or glide.

Hard is harder than it was in the beta. I'm not complaining. The AI seems smarter too. Ps4 version looks better than the beta as well.

Ghost is awesome and heavy. Well worth the extra dough. I have no complaints!
 
Soloing hard seems like a waste of time, not that much more xp, stuff takes ages to kill, the risk of dying is much greater and I still get a shitty white item for completing the quest. This is early on.
 
This fucking game is the best reason to live in our century and not, perhaps, 100 years prior.

Somebody get me that "Receipts" gif - I wanna see how this baby sells.
 
Does the gameplay itself vary after the content that was in the beta? Is it the same style of gameplay, just on different maps and locations? Any set piece moments or curveballs (without spoiling anything, of course)?
I actually did experience 1 curveball on a moon mission...was kinda cool and unexpected.
 
Played the first two hours and really liked it. But I hoped it would be a little easier to team up with strangers, seems like you really need friends to play.
 
Had a good session this early morning with Fireclad and Finjitzu but I see Fireclad's been leveling while I've been going to my classes ;_;
 
I had such a "WTF" moment when on the moon..

You know....the fight where everything is all good, until a Godzilla size Knight comes out of the wall and you have to fight him, me and my friend are like 'wait...wtf' meanwhile we are getting pegged left and right by gun fire, definitely a fun/cool moment
 
My copy of Destiny waits on my porch, taunting me while I'm at work.

Whoever designed the missions for this game should be fired. This game is beyond repetitive.

I think people are coming in expecting a Halo style adventure and getting a Diablo loot fest with a paper thin story holding it together.

Curious to see what my experience is like.

Personally I'm expecting a console gateway to "my-first-MMO"

Which is fine for me because as a mainly console player most of my life, MMOs have completely alluded me.
 
I feel like we should get more XP for killing enemies of higher levels than we are. I don't like that I get the same amount for killing a level 2 enemy and a level 8 enemy if I'm level 5...

Yeah it's a pretty straightforward and lazy solution to limiting player progress.
 
I'm really not liking the golden gun as compared to the Nova Bomb & Titan Smash...

You have to ignite it, then you have to make the shots, and even then, sometimes the shots are not one hit kills...

I'm hoping the blade dancer skill is more of "easy kills" move, I know that sounds sad, but I don't know, I guess that is the trade off when you're the coolest looking class with the best jump in the game.

Yeah, I'm with you. It's just not as exciting as the other skills. It's a buff to firing your weapon in a game where 99% of the time you're firing weapons.

I went Hunter regardless, though, because Bladedancer looks incredible. Can't wait til I reach level for it.
