How does radar work in multiplayer? Do you only show up when you sprint or shoot? Or are you on radar anytime you move?
So it seems like we're at the point where we need a makeshift endgame guide for gearing.
Anyone got any useful knowledge to share about this? After learning about how motes of light work, I feel people don't want to waste their time upgrading weapons they may not want in the long run.
Those are cool. I do like it when they take you far away or somewhere you didn't epxpect. That's why I love the Patrol Reconnaissance (I forget the actual name) missions, where you have to first find a vantage point (often tricky to get to) and then observe the surroundings until you get 100%.
Yeah kinda pumped for this. Gotta learn the rock-paper-scissors of it all.Oh wow. I noticed their shields were different colored. I didn't even think of that. I like that.
This is interesting. This means you may need to prep gear and weaponry depending on boss.
No idea, I figured this was a little nod to the notion that this was at some point a traditional high fantasy world. What's so bad about this?
Looking good. This is my Titan atm. I'm doing a lot of Strikes to get light drops so I can get at least one more level tonight.

Man I like fighting that thing a lot.The Devil's Walker tank thing on the earth Strike is such a mood killer. Rest of the mission is great fun.

Really starting to get annoyed with the Crucible lag. Nearly every kill registers a second later, resulting in constant kill trades.
I can't as I'm at work (bleh, my company doesn't recognize Destiny days yet) but please add me, PSN id is hawkian!I played GW2 for one year from launch day.
Btw guys would be cool if you could add me and my friend to your PSN PS4 friendslists so we got some more guys to play with!
My PSN is Klyka1 and my friend's is Stiff_Ninja
All I'm saying is that I'd enjoy having in-game team chat.I'm confused what you mean by workarounds. If you're in a fireteam, there is voice chat. Plain and simple.
Whether your teammates choose to utilize it, is up to them. That's not the game's fault, such is the nature of today's consoles and party chat.
Poppin skulls left and rightOk guys I'll admit it. When using the hand canon on appropriately lvled enemies it wreaks everything.

Awesome. I'm level 12 Hunter, and haven't gotten a single blue drop yet. Are strikes the best way to get it? Or is it just completely random, and your chances of getting them are just doing a bunch of activities? I just started playing Crucible for the first time, and I'm finding that I'm getting a lot more green drops + leveling up much quicker than I was doing side missions and story missions.

This baby right here. Absolute beast in pvp.
Cool. Cool. Would I have to be in the vicinity of the event though? Or could I be in another planet entirely? You won't miss it. It's announced, gets a waypoint, your Ghost may comment on it, etc.
It's like you didn't even read my post at all.
Two ends of the spectrum here bro. It's all good. Let's just have fun.

I really do understand what you are saying. Besides a nice looking world ( which I really do enjoy ), there is not much to 'discover'.

A few questions about Gold Loot chests (spoiler your answers incase people want to be surprised)
- Do they re-appear, or are they only available once?
- Is it once per charachter you create or once only?
- Is the loot in them the same for every player?
- Does the loot scale with your ranking? (so maybe best to leave some till level 20?)
^^
Could anyone answer these questions please Gaffers?
You're not gonna get an event notice for something on the Moon while you're on Mars.
Totally agreed, unfortunately. There's just nothing beyond going up to something and going "wow this looks good", which you can only say so many times before it wears off.
Though that was a constant refrain from me when I was wandering around Venus, cuz goddamn is that place beautiful.
I've gotten all of mine from post crucible drops. Not finding much light gear right now. Played a fair bit and I'm still on 20.
Hey guys, I am a level 7 Hunter right now as I haven't been able to play much. I love the wandering around and all of that good stuff and will handle it in due time but want to ask a quick question:
What's a quick way to hop up some levels and get my hands on a really nice gun? PvP? Strikes? SP Missions? Let me know your thoughts. Thanks.

there are golden chests and dead ghosts. That's about equal to finding skulls in a Halo game.
also I agree with you, this game should have chests hidden in nooks and crannies.
I just got two pieces of Knight armor (blue) and I have a full green circle for the defense boost, but it won't let me upgrade it. I have plenty of Glimmer and Plaiting. I haven't upgraded the "Increase XX ammo" stat on them, don't want it. Anyone know the issue?
Does it bug anyone else that the none of the titans supers are useful against the damage sponge bosses?

I did Dust Palace with a defender Titan and the shield was super-awesome.
Blast Shield is god tier.
The first grenade you lock is hell of a lot better than Striker's and the grenade upgrade for defender. If you throw it right, it will automatically stick to the enemy. Two explosions = Michael Bay is Proud of me tier grenade
Disintegrate + War Machine = god tier reloading skills
Disintegrate + Relentless = Bwuahahaha you bastards are so dead tier shield
Yeah I have all the basic abilities for the second subclass now. The shield is amazingly good in more situations than I thought it would be. And you can activate it and step out of it and it won't go away for like 30 seconds. Everyone can use it whenever it's up. I use it to block off small areas, step in and out if facing a large boss or when reviving someone in a tight situation. Some enemies rush you though so you can't stay in there forever.
The melee ability is also nice since it gives you extra protection, and the first grenade is pretty sweet against enemies that keep close to eachother. Or enemies that teleport away from your usual grenade.
The game DOES have chests hidden, it's just that the chests spawn randomly, meaning you go down a tunnel and there is nothing but 2 days later you go into the same tunnel and there is a chest.
You have to upgrade to get to the next upgrade.I just got two pieces of Knight armor (blue) and I have a full green circle for the defense boost, but it won't let me upgrade it. My dude. *high five*
