Any good locations where Hive Majors or Ultras spawn? I have to keep doing level 5 story but only 1 spawns so it's pretty time consuming for the bounty.

Also what do we do with Ascendant Shard and Weapon Parts? Is their someone at the tower I should visit.

A question for people who got the Ghost edition from Amazon. Did any of you get a beat up box? If you did, did you ask for a refund or what?

Bleh, I finally got my first blue item and it was hand cannon. What's strange is, it takes me like 4 shots to kill someone with it (in multiplayer)....and yet a Shotgun (with far less attack damage) kills them in one shot from the same range. WTF.

Hand Cannon's are too slow to have to shoot multiple times to get a kill.

attack =/= damage

"Impact" is damage, attack is a rating that is being used against an enemies defense.
Attack and defense have no meaning in PvP cause they are standardized.

I could use a handcannon with max impact and 10 attack and you a handcannon with half impact and 5000 damage and I would do more damage to you than you would to me.

The game DOES have chests hidden, it's just that the chests spawn randomly, meaning you go down a tunnel and there is nothing but 2 days later you go into the same tunnel and there is a chest.

It's not even 2 days. It randomly plants chests every time you cross over an instance boundary.(I think that's what's happening, anyways) That's why farming the rocketyard works. If you circle the perimeter, by the time you get back to the where you started, there might be chests where there were not before.

Two things (one asking for help on PS4, and one offering help to all):

1) I'm new to PS4. Does any kind of headset with a 3.5mm jack and inline mic work? I tried my skullcandy lowriders last night and it seemed to come through audio fine but act like it had no mic. If it won't work, can you recommend a cheap/decent headset that will?

2) Maybe this is a silly suggestion, but lacking a kind of Group Board in Monster Hunter or any seemingly meaningful way to leverage your clan to make a fireteam... would something like http://gw2lfg.com be useful to people in putting together fireteams?

Obviously it's not intended for Destiny, but barring something that is... It's divided by region, you can put your ID/gamertag as Character Name, Level, choose other for Event and put what you want a Fireteam for in the Comments along with a min level. You can delete your listing when you have a full team or just let it decay (eventually it'll disappear). No one uses it for GW2 anymore so it's empty, I put in a test listing just as an example of how it might work.

...

There is in-game team chat.
Not with people I get matched with in pvp until I join a fireteam.

I would like the option to speak with said people without partying up. Partying up is fun but I don't always want to stick with the same people. Playing / communicating with my matched teammates is enjoyable to me and does not happen as often with the "fireteam only" chat.

Make sense kid?

Oh I know it's not like two days or anything, it was just an example.

I hate chest farming and stuff like that so I wouldn't ever do that.

getting rare and legendary loot almost every pvp game after level 20

wait what!? wow.

I'm having a lot of fun with this game.
The Devils Lair is soo much harder than the beta (or the players I was with sucked).

I"m not feeling Crucible at all. It always seem players will always be higher ranked than I, with better armor & guns, so why waste my time?

Same here... I had a much better time in the beta. I am consistently getting worked in pvp

You need to get headshots with a hand cannon and you shouldn't be using it from shotgun range.

Level 21 - Titan Male Exo - 20 hours

I haven't finished mars yet (only the first story mission) while all other planets/areas are done and all gold chests and ghosts.

I want to see just how much of this game got cut or is being held back.

Some of the trailers from just a year ago have pieces of cutscenes and dialog that weren't present in the campaign.

Alright. I understand now. Guess I won't be using that weapon in PVP. Back to my shotgun. Getting kills is really easy with it.

You need to get headshots with a hand cannon and you shouldn't be using it from shotgun range.

Alright. Not good enough with headhots, I still figured that a handcannon would take out someone with 2 good shots. But it's all about headshots then I'm using it wrong.

uh wait. that makes no sense. if you start a pvp match and it finds other guardians. it then shows you your team. you are in a 6 person fireteam. their ships and such are right there. you can even see if they have their mic enbaled or not with a speaker/mic on their banner.

if they don't have that, it means they are either A) using party chat or B) don't use a mic.

Had a go at crucible last night and had a blast!

My question though, I'm only level 7 and I saw some level 20's around the map I was playing... are they actually scaled down.. or maybe I'm scaled up? They seemed impossible to kill and meanwhile killed me in the fraction of a second. Seems hardly fair to have an advantage like that... maybe I'm just terrible...

I played GW2 for one year from launch day. :)

Btw guys would be cool if you could add me and my friend to your PSN PS4 friendslists so we got some more guys to play with!
My PSN is Klyka1 and my friend's is Stiff_Ninja

Added you - my PSN is Puma. I love the mobile app.

XP now goes towards creating Motes of Light. Now you level up through equipping gear with Light stats on it

so do I just equip gear that has + light?, so the more "+ light", the faster the leveling?, currently I have equipped a cape from the new monarchy in order to satisfy their faction ranks

am i playing this right..?

You are probably slightly terrible BUT 20's have the advantage of using weapons with lots of bonuses on them, despite health and damage stats being flattened.

I'm level 22 and have yet to get a single Legendary drop in either PvE or the Crucible :( Meanwhile I've witnessed two level 20s get legendary gear right in front of me.

Ffffffff...

Oh I didn't know. Thanks for the enlightenment
Haven't encountered anyone who speaks in-match yet then.

EDIT: after some googling I see that you are incorrect on this.

You are not automatically in a chat when matched up. Unless you actively join a fireteam group you will not be able to communicate with your teammates.

Given the orbs of light system, isn't it more useful to super a group of the lesser enemies (and hopefully kill a bunch) than to blow it on the boss itself?

I see the Titan#s supers as either a "oh shit" defense button or as an orb generator/add destroyer so your teammates can fill their supers quicker and focus on DPS.

I mean, hell a golden gun hunter does ridiculous damage to bosses. filling his super really fast is key to downing them quickly.

No, your Light level is literally equivalent to how far in Player level you advance. So if you equip a bunch of +Light armor and level up to, let's say, 22, and then remove it all, you'll go back down to 20.

And Faction Rep is separate from Light level, though once you gain enough rep, you can buy gear from them that will have +Light on it

A few questions about Gold Loot chests (spoiler your answers incase people want to be surprised :))

- Do they re-appear, or are they only available once?
- Is it once per charachter you create or once only?
- Is the loot in them the same for every player?
- Does the loot scale with your ranking? (so maybe best to leave some till level 20?)

- They do not
- Once per character
- It appears to be the same collection of loot but character appropriate. I.E. First chest you find will always be Item A, Second will always be Item B, regardless of which chests you find in which order.
- It does not appear to scale.

It's not really that bad, especially with respawning enemies and randoms coming through every couple min. You get crazy things like in the "lobby" area right in front of the Kings Watch entrance, I've seen the following spawn:

6 hive stealth acolytes
2 servitors and 4 thralls
and a mix of regular acolytes and thralls.

It keeps it interesting when you clear the lobby, go in to look for the chest spawn, turn around, and then have a bunch of stealth acolytes waiting to mess you up.

I dunno, it's fun.

Is there a Vault or something we can stash weapons/armor in? Since we only have a limited amount of slots.
Yes, it's right near where you first enter the tower. 3 or 4 spire-looking things.

Quoting for new page. Please help/try!

that is so weird cause I saw people with speakers next to their names in the PvP we played. We were sitting in party chat though.
