Jesus died at the age of 33.

There are currently 4 main line, full length MGS games.

Jesus Christ is the protagonist of The Phantom Pain.

Snakes Revenge?

Anyway, I can't really see the point unless It's a PS4/PC collection with MGS4 and the others re-remastered for 1080p and a proper remaster of MGS1

Thanks for the explanation, I'm pretty ignorant about Metal Gear Solid.
Despite owning several of the games i haven't actually finished any. The one I played longest was the first, and Ghost Babel on GBC.

Hopefully they include Solid Snakes mission in 1964. He is a hero of many time and place

this is a running joke post

No worries this series is as confusing as series can get sometimes. For good reason though.

An HD port of Portable Ops is only going to make that game more flawed. The level design in that game is awful. So is the mission design. So is everything honestly.

Quite honestly, thier best bet is doing what SE does with the Kingdom Hearts HD. Take the comic book cutscenes and compile them together. The story may not be completely relevant, but it still has some nuggets that people may find worthwhile.

37 is the smallest prime that is not also a supersingular prime. It is a centered hexagonal number and a star number.

37 is

The atomic number of rubidium.

The normal human body temperature in degrees Celsius.

The number of plays William Shakespeare is thought to have written (counting Henry IV as three parts)

The number of the French department Indre-et-Loire

The number of slots in European Roulette

The number of Great Nats traditionally worshiped in Burma.

Municipal Okrug #37, name of Yugo-Zapad Municipal Okrug of Krasnoselsky District of Saint Petersburg, Russia, before 2009

+37 was the international dialing code of the German Democratic Republic (aka East Germany). Today the +37 prefix is shared by Lithuania (+370), Latvia (+371), Estonia (+372), Moldova (+373), Armenia (+374), Belarus (+375), Andorra (+376), Monaco (+377), San Marino (+378) and Vatican City (+379).

A television channel reserved for radioastronomy in the United States

The protagonist in the book This Number Speaks (Publish America 2008) by Jason Patrick Doherty, is named Thirty-Seven.

The number people are most likely to state when asked to give a random number between 0 and 100.

I thought it would be 69 for sure.

it better be a next gen collection for the PC, after it would make the most sense as it would allow PC players who have never played a MGS game before to understand the series, and would allow someone like me to play all the games again.

Really? They literally borke the game design by shoe horning exagerated cutscenes and mgs2 game mechanics in to literally the same mgs1 level and boss designs.

The cutscenes are weird but I rather have an easier game than a game that is hard for the wrong reasons. As much as I love MGS, the zoomed in camera just doesn't lend itself well to the MG gameplay. I think MG2 does the same gameplay better than MGS1 and the 1st person shooting is the only thing that fixed that.

What was the reasoning now for MGS4 still being exclusive?
I didn't like it but a new collection with that availble on X1 and PC alone would be a pretty big deal here.

That's one of the last really big third party exclusives.

Kojima pointed out that due to Xbox 360’s use of DVD (as opposed to Sony’s use of Blu-Ray) Metal Gear Solid 4 would require seven discs to be released on Xbox 360. Kojima (presumably referring to the Metal Gear Legacy Collection) said "I want to put it out [on the Xbox 360], but we won't be releasing it." He added that “if we released a version on the Xbox 360 without MGS4, then it's not The Legacy Collection."

Though I suppose there's nothing stopping it from one day making it's way to PS4/Xbox One/PC, despite a few meta nods to the hardware throughout the game.

He said maybe they could release it on the "next [Xbox] console" before X1 was announced. http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2...or-lack-of-metal-gear-solid-legacy-collection So I assume they plan to bring it to new platforms at some stage, and hopefully PC as well now.

It's not a matter of the game being "easier." It's just not as well balanced. It's understandable not everyone is a fan of MGS' overhead camera, but the game is built around predictable enemy patterns, manipulating the camera in different ways to get a full picture of everything, and around gunplay being a little more difficult to master. The Twin Snakes is worse at accomplishing what the original wanted to, while also being worse at accomplishing what MGS2 wanted to.

That's in addition to not being as well directed as either game. A lot of the cutscenes just felt off.

All that said, though, I still enjoyed it when I played through it. I prefer the original in basically every way, but I think it's an acceptable version of it.

Yeah MGS4 on PC would be amazing (is it still port begging 7 years later??)

Having said that Revengeance is still not sold on Japan Steam AND is region locked for gifting, so fuck you Konami.

Ok now that sounds interesting.

For the MGS3 port they took out the Monkey Stuff though granted that was sectioned off basically. But they also had gotten rid of the Dream Sequence right?
I think the nods wouldn't be that hard to fix.

i am hoping its mgs 1:twin snakes, mgs hd collection + mgs 4 all releasing for pc this fall. that would be epic. i bought mgs4 for ps3 a few months ago but i have completely forgotten the mgs story so i want to play the whole saga again

a SOCOM is a 1911 or a .45 caliber. SOCOM means Special Operations Command.

No no no no no...no.

The MK23 SOCOM pistol was designed by Heckler And Koch for the Navy Seals and special operations groups based on the H&K USP which comes in multiple calibers including .45 ACP which is also the primary cartridge for the M1911A1 platform.

The M1911A1 is a slightly modified version of the original M1911 pistol that John Moses Browning designed before World War I.

This is a M1911A1, with a comparison to the original M1911 pistol:

I just want The Twin Snakes HD. I really hope this collection isn't another PS3 collection though. I want to use my PS4 more.

The only part of Twin Snakes I didn't like, was the fucked up physics on the Repelling section I remember that section being piss easy on the PS1 version but I had so much fucking trouble with that section I almost rage quitted.

The Boss would only be 15 at the time. 4 years before joining the SAS.

Oh snap, I just realized the Twin Snakes were born in 1972, exactly 37 years after Big Boss was born (1935). Also, 3=C, 7=G, swap places and you get GC. Twin Snakes HD confirmed?

The fact that "Solid" is left out of the title should be a dead giveaway that it includes a next-gen port of Rising

Technicaly speaking he was right though, SOCOM was just an acronym for the US spec ops command and any weapon manufacturers participating in the OHWS program added that acronym to their submitted handgun projects. Therefore we had the so called Mark 23 SOCOM(which the USP is actually based on and not the other way around) or the scrapped COLT SOCOM project(modified from the M1911A1).
