So I guess that $519 price was photoshopped? (or is that going to be the AUS price maybe?)
No, actual performance revies have not leaked. Those are typically the most important things. So everything has pretty much leaked at this point ?
Even at $349 seems like a good deal. The wide price gap between the 970 and 980 looks to give OEMs some margin to offer their own overclocked variants.
Probably too late to be able to offload it at pre-980 prices, with NDA a day away.
I never ever ever ever ever ever offer advice like that without reviews and data. And unfortunately NVIDIA doesn't recognize PC-GAF as a legitimate review source, so neither Haz nor I have access to hardware.![]()
I wonder what does it mean with "Consumer variants" and the double price on the 970.

Only read PCPer, Guru3D, and TechReport.
Sometimes I hate PC Gaming. I have a 295x2+290X in my PC and these still make me interested for whatever reason.

Wrong, wrong, wrong.
Some people run sli at 1080p so they turn all the extra bells and whistles up to high or very high (aa,af,shadows, etc) and want to run at 120hz.
When I had sli 770s I could run Assassins Creed IV with everything cranked up at 1080p smooth as butter. Got rid of them and got a single 780ti and had to turn some stuff down to keep it at a steady 60.
That's because AV IV is a mess.
Those, and also read Computerbase if you can read German. No, actual performance revies have not leaked. Those are typically the most important things.

980 will only launch with reference cooler I believe. 970 will have non-reference too, so that might be accounting for the more expensive models (but it seems like a very small price bump really).
custom pcb and/or cooling
Nope. Their PC hardware review quality has gone down the shitter. Direct responses from a few of their writers were (accurately without inserting my own distaste paraphrasing), "It would take too much effort to do it accurately", despite the aforementioned websites doing so with every review. No Anandtech?
Yeah, that too. Those, and also read Computerbase if you can read German.
I don't think it is.
No WindForce off the bat? bah.Posted?

That said. Looking at the specs. What on earth would justify the $200 price difference between the 970 and 980?

They're good for news and editorials, just not actual hardware reviews.
Yeah, that too.
Google translate helps get you through most of it, charts are understood easily enough as well.

PCGH is second best in terms of German reviews in my opinion.Like I said, I've been out of the loop for a while. Is PCGH still any good?
You can never have too much cooling.
Smokey plsSomebody buy my Titan Blacks
Checking out the variety of top notch review sites does give the added benefit of finding those curveball titles to make sure everything is behaving properly outside of the typical 5-8 games used in every review.PCGH is second best in terms of German reviews in my opinion.
But really, you usually only need Computerbase.
How much faster (%) are we expecting the GTX 980 ($549) to be, compared to the GTX 780Ti ($699)?
What.http://i119.photobucket.com/albums/o139/callsign_vega/Kepler.jpg

I think I'm just going to sit on 780 OC till the full Maxwell comes out. The price they want for these is insane and my 780 is doing just fine.

I really have no issues running games with my 680 but I still want to upgrade if the performance gains over my card are worth it.
If the leaks are true it should be 10% and 57% if you look for Performance per Watt.
Nice to have a gen thats reduces TDP by alot after all these years.
I have a 560TI, i think the tdp for it is 170W. I could put in a 980 now and only have 5W more :lol

And by the way, this is the guy that used prisms to try and create a borderless FW900 triple monitor display. Not kidding.

They make pretty poor gaming processors. Need dat per-thread-performance.You know what's disappointing? As insane as it looks at first glance, I'm left wondering where the hell the dual Xeons are in that setup?
Can't decide yet if time to upgrade from 670 OC
On one hand vram, decent 1440p framerates, Witcher 3. On the other 28nm, probably close to £400.
Are these prices confirmed or is this just from the wccf rumor?$299 MSRP and $329/$349 for AIB cards is a marvelous deal. I'm in for a GTX 970. Goodbye 660!
