I think the Master looked better this episode, maybe it was the angle and lighting. Seemed more threatening than the intial reveal

The problem with the mouth in the show is that it doesn't open up all the way. It is just a regular mouth with fake lips that keep going on to the sides.

I was not terribly enthused with this episode.
Nora's mother is a bad character in the books and an annoyingly bad character in the show. She needs to be killed off in the emotional season finale already.
I feel like Gus got a little more meat on his bones finally, and now that he's not trying to be so hardcore for everyone around him, he's a better character for it.
The Zack Attack part of this episode didn't need to exist at all. Put the kid in a corner and wait until Season 2 to use him, please.
Eph is dumb as usual, but his Fet impersonation got a good laugh out of me.
Setrakian is REALLY pissed. I like that. He's so mad that he's making mistakes, which is human, which is nice. We haven't seen him as a human figure in the series much until now. He's always been the stern teacher, and giving him a distinguished flaw is a great element added to the show.
This episode sucked. A lot. But here's hoping next week pans out into something that brings it all back together.

The Masters Design is so bad that it really takes you out of the show. If he is to evolve or something over time, they better make it soon because he is the least threatening of the vampires so far.
Paint his face and he looks like a clown. The prosthetics job is just terrible and Guillermo should have known better than to sign off on that design and then actually do close-ups of it numerous times as if he were proud of it. They need to go back to the drawing board, or use that UV bomb burning his face as a reason to change it. It's just sooooo bad.

This is so goofy looking that it's somehow amazing.
The vamp doing that disturbing snake crawl through the tunnel after Fet was a million times scarier than the master. Wth is he supposed to be? If they added some external gills to the sides of his neck he would look just like a cheesy b movie swamp monster.

they should have fixed the lighting to give him a creepy look. but that light just made him look weird.

Come on guys. I would've been legit shook seeing the Master drop in on me like that. Such weight, such majesty.
Plus I sleep well at night in the knowledge that that's not even his final form. His "muppet" look works well for old country superstitious Master. I'm sure his next form will be VERY 21st century, "You gon get whooped son" type of badass.

The Master should be more decayed (by that I mean dead flesh scared over by "Vampire Magic") and have no ears. The Yoda ears make the character look really silly.
