Hello. So, I’m thinking about making a new rig, and I’d like a little advise in what I’m doing.
So, right now I have in mind this:
- Intel Core i5-4670K 3.4GHz
- EVGA NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970 4GB GDDR5 256-bit PCI-E 3.0 x16
- Gigabyte p/ Intel GA-Z97M-D3H LGA 1150
- Corsair 750W RM750 Plus Gold CP-9020055-WW
- Kingston HyperX Fury Black Series 8GB Kit (2 x 4GB) DDR3 1600MHz
- HD Seagate SATA III Barracuda 7200 1TB ST1000DM003
- Kingston SSD 2.5´ 60GB V300 SATA III SV300S37A/120G
I’ll use it primarily for gaming, so I’d like a good rig that will work for years without upgrading, and it would be cool if it would be in a not-so-big desktop so it would be like a Steam Machine.
My questions are:
- Is this setup good?
- What changes could I make in this setup so it would be cheaper and still good?
- Do you guys have any recommendation on Desktops ala Alienware X51 or maybe a little bigger, but not a full sized desktop?
- Is it ventilated enough? I don’t want it to obverheat.
Note to oneself: I live in Brazil, and the price of the itens are about 2,5x more expensive than in the USA. The GTX970 is about $700 in here, so I could change it without a problem for a cheaper VGA.
Thanks in advance!
