Are they just buying the wrong jeans/size or something? Jeans are SO comfortable. I would wear my jeans all the time but I don't want them to get old.

I hated jeans all my life, but very recently started wearing them regularly. Not sure why, but I used to think they were the most uncomfortable thing to wear. Still, I prefer non-jean shorts even to this day.

I didn't start wearing Jeans regularly till 6th grade because they really were uncomfortable. I wasn't fat- but my legs were (and are) really bulky, and so standard sizes just felt terrible. It's almost certainly a sizing issue- even today finding ones that have enough room isn't easy.

Comfy shorts are generally more comfortable than jeans but jeans are damn comfortable assuming you get an appropriate size for yourself

wrong fits, wrong denim quality, wrong cuts, etc.

the right jeans can be perfect, but bad ones will be

The real question is: what's up with people (like Anderson Cooper) who don't wash their jeans for 6 months? Nasty. Mine get worn max twice before going in the laundry.

But they're not more comfortable than trackpants or shorts, or khakis, or dress pants, or anything really.

I mean you wear jeans because they're durable, not necessarily for comfort.

I think you are overwashing your jeans which will definitely shorten their lifespan. If you aren't doing anything physical or in a dirty environment I think you can follow the ways of Anderson Cooper.

Unless you are doing anything that makes you sweat in them, or get them dirty, there's really no reason to wash them that often.

I can use mine for maybe 2 months before changing unless one of the two things mentioned above happens.

Newly washed jeans are less comfortable because they get a little stiff. Just requires some use and they feel great.

That's fairly normal for denim. Wash every two times worn? What are you, mud wrestling in these things?

LOL no I work in an office building with a semi casual dress code. I don't sweat but just the idea they've been worn twice makes them go right in the wash. I can guarantee you that if you're not washing your jeans for months, others are smelling it (there's a guy at my work I avoid actually who always smells like eggs and crotch ...)
I'll shorten the lifespan of my clothes happily if it means feeling clean.

Pockets are super important for me and I've never found jeans with good pockets. Like they should be big and have not just the standard four but he extra two on the thigh parts. Thus khakis for me it is.

They are indeed the most uncomfortable pair of pants an human can wear, in fact i started wearing them regularly only 6-7 years ago but only because 99,9% of the population uses them so the companies don't even care about making non-jeans pants that look remotely good...
The only bright side is that they can resist a tank.

I always wore jeans as a kid, but after having to wear khakis for junior high and then for my job during highschool I didn't wear them for years. Now, they feel too stiff and restrictive.

Once, my sister came home and saw me lying on the couch watching tv and wearing jeans. and she said "you're like the only person I know who wears jeans to lounge in." I didn't understand.

Anyone can notice when they start to smell, that guy just doesn't care. Smelling my jeans is what I do to decide if they need to be washed or not.

What's up with people who who want to know what's up with people who think jeans are uncomfortable?

Most of my life I have been getting cheaper jeans (20-30$) and since this year I been buying more expensive jeans 100$ range and it's been sooooo worth it.

$$$ > $ for jeans.

They aren't what I would call uncomfortable. However, I usually take my pants off the second I get home. Basketball shorts when it's warm and some sort of PJ pants when it's cold. Can't beat those two when it comes to comfort.

I am 5'11" and 170lbs. I've lost quite a bit of weight. The problem I had before I lost the weird and still face it - is how the waist feels on a pair of jeans. The waist and belt area presses into my gunt without budging. I find that with almost every pants I wear and I think it will be a problem I have for the rest of my life. And yes I know about the work pants with an elastic waistband.

Also, just thinking of wearing underwear and jeans at the same time makes me squirmy and uncomfortable. I haven't worn underwear with jeans in at least 10 years. The mere thought of it... is terrible

And for the people who advocate for not washing their jeans every 1-2 times. You must either not sweat like I do, or your don't have noses. Even after a single day my jeans feel damp and smell like cheese. Could be that whole no underwear thing. But I almost never get a second round.

I'm one of those people. My chunky thick ass thighs don't like jeans much.

Heck, when I'm home, I barely wear long pants, it's full relax short clothing at home. And since I also work from home, I really don't have many long pants anymore.

They aren't uncomfortable, but because my work requires us to wear slacks, I've stopped wearing jeans altogether, and haven't worn them in about 9 years.
