Ah right. Ive been only doing team deathmatch, would domination not be better for points? And go for objectives? Or some other mode?

I've put in over a hundred hours running the same content. It's a combination of lack of content and playing way too much of the same missions and activities over and over.
A friend hit me up a while ago wanting to do the final boss as well, and they were already ready. Sorry for that man....
I can try again later tonight, especially if you're just on the final boss.

Yep, all I do whilst waiting for the weekly reset is the PvE bounties and the daily heroic, which never takes me more than an hour, I have nothing else to do in the game after that. Only being able to get loot from the heroic strike, nightfall strike and Raid once a week is really killing this game for me.
It really isn't when it was touted as such. When it's constantly stated that this game has a massive world with a massive amount of content then I tend to expect it to deliver on both ends and it simply doesn't.
And even MMOs that are free to play have much more content than what Destiny delivers. Tera is a prime example.
I did rumble but no matter what you do it is a shitty grindfest.
Folks like to dismiss the idea, but I honestly think this game would be terrific if it has a monthly subscription plan that promised constant content without relying on this RNG nonsense.

I hit a similar wall with my Titan but if I stop playing how could I see my Hunter and Warlock flourish? I'm not even at level 5 with my warlock and it's already a completely different game. I'm astonished.
I also gave them each different weapon focuses. My warlock is a pulse rifle gal, so getting used to that kind of play also makes everything fresh and wonderful.

All of the raid gear is called Prime Zealot Something, right? I am like 90% certain that I got some raid gear outside of the raid. Even one of its upgrades is specific to the VoG. I don't even remember where or when I got them anymore and I feel like I'm going crazy.
This whole fucking time I've had raid gauntlets and I didn't bother fully levelling them up because I was waiting for raid gauntlets. :3

Ok so we finally passed
in the raid, after around 4.5 hours I guess (without help). Especially the boss fight before felt like a totally different game with all the necessary teamwork, I am really impressed.
Do people feel the same in general?

can anyone who has thorn, bad juju and invective confirm that you can no longer receive the same set of exotic bounties afterwards? i have invective and bad juju and i'm debating whether i should pick up the thorn one right now in hopes that the next set will be a different one. because this is my 5th one and it's the same set as the last 4 times (only saw the other set once). i don't particularly care for thorn but i'd like to chance an encounter with the pocket infinity bounty.

You could do "Restoration" mission over and over on Earth. The boss at the end gives 200 glimmer. When you get to the cut scene log off to skip it. Repeat until you get the glimmer you need. I think ether seeds also boosts glimmer from the fallen.
Eh. Diablo III does a good job. Of course, there's Warframe too, and it's free.
Hell, even Terraria managed a giant patch of content for free.
Okay so I have a Titan @ Level 28, a Warlock @ Level 21, and a Hunter @ Level 23 soon to be 24 as soon as I snag a Queen's Chest. Not bad.
I hope to get them all to 26 or 27 if it's doable without spending any shards on my non-Titan class in order to get more coins and materials each week.

Diablo took how long to get the greater rifts, an expansion and other content?
Doesn't exactly seem fair. Comparing vanilla content to vanilla content, I'd probably even favor Destiny.

The Speaker, the Queen, etc. are all archetypes, think M and Q of the James Bond series. The merchants and enemies that we interact with often are named. Of course, by that same thinking, they probably should have named the ghost.

When does diablo get good? I got it to tide me over for destiny and it was so uncompelling. I rolled a demon hunter and it was just so boring. The loot had none of the detail and love destiny gives it. Just a bunch of numbers and green/red arrows and shitty design.
What do people like about it? It feels so impersonal compared to destiny being first person. The gameplay is like geometry wars when you use a crossbow.
I dunno. I got it digital so I'll never get rid of it but it had a lot longer than destiny to get its hooks in and it totally didn't.
Upgrading them increases the light stat which increases your level so it's beneficial to upgrade all of them.
It's doable. I'm 27 with my main because I don't want to spend shards on anything except raid gear and the perfect exotic armor.

Haha same, was 4 strikes in when cryptarch gave me the Comedian, way to burst your excitement bubble. At least now I have backup shotty when I''m rolling with Suros, since you can't equip both Suros and Invective at the same time.
Yes, use it now. Save any legendary mail you get from the cryptarch till the patch though, those don't become engrams until you open them.
Actually, since Bungie goes so far out of the way to cap how much progression you can do in a week, that's probably the best way to play the game. Your only guaranteed progression in this game beyond Level 20 is from marks, reputation, raiding and weekly heroic & nightfall strikes. Marks are capped, the weekly strikes and raid only need to be done once and rep is slow to earn outside of bounties that reset once per day. Beyond those forms of progressions, your fate is left up to RNGesus and we all know that's going to be an L more often than not.
That's not glowing praise, though. It kinda irks me how people only mention Diablo 3 lately when they refer to the series, when Diablo 1 and 2 were awesome in their vanilla states.

I think making a comparison to Diablo 1 and 2 is kinda unfair. By that reasoning, I'd be comparing every expansion released recently to Brood War. If I did that, I wouldn't like anything.

Content was much easier and cheaper to produce then though.
Making a level for Diablo 2 probably took 1/10th the time as something made in 2014.
Thank you for the confirmation! I was doing the math in my head and 27 seemed possible, but it's good to know as well.
I suppose once I come to have like 50+ shards then I can upgrade a few pieces. I got the Knucklehead Radar helm for the Hunter, is that considered a top-tier Exotic for the Hunter or is there another one better?
