I am constantly flipping between my 24 warlock and 21 hunter .. Kinda sucks because I have 70 marks on 1 and 45 on the other. :/ I wish marks could be shared like everything else. Almost feels like I am wasting my time and need to just stick with 1

Screen goes pure white in PVP.

On PVE the blind probably lasts 10-15 seconds. They stumble around just like a blind grenade hit them.

A friend of mine used it in the doorway to "we've awoken the hive" and many LOLs ensued.

Haha! That sounds great. Super excited for that helm. Do you know how long it lasts in PvP?

Does anyone need ascendant energy/shard on XB1? I'm at the end of the Daily but probably can't complete it since it's level 28.

Send me a message on Live. Gamertag is VE3TRO

This would make sense as afaik the only difference between Normal and Hard is that Atheon can drop the Vex Mythoclast on Hard.

True. Also, judging from Destiny DB, there's also armor pieces that drop in Hard that don't show up in Normal, but perhaps that was just fragmented code.

I am at that point, but an alt would require a lot of work. I'm guessing at least 10 hours to get to the point where they can do the weeklies comfortably.

True that. However, another more boring strategy would be to level another character who's the same class as your main. The moment it hits 20, you can transfer all your main's gear to it. This is how that one guy got to level 30 first.

Good points and I agree. CoD definitely has that carrot on a stick thing down to a T. I prestige to 10 in almost every CoD and just love always have something to progress towards.

Destiny, I'm rank 3 crucible, bought all the armor I need. Bought the Exotic weapon from Xur and have other legendary or rare weapons that I like, so no real reason to buy any of the cruicible weapons. So now I really technically have no reason to keep playing in the crucible except for fun.

Luckily for Bungie I am still having fun there though. :P

Not sure it'll last as long as I play CoD multiplayer though unless they give me something else to progress towards.

Buy items and dismantle them for shards.

For Raids I hope people don't sleep on High Caliber Rounds. High Caliber Rounds are basically there to make opening the door child's play. I mean with a decent team it's not hard anyways, but staggering Minotaurs all day is a good deal.

SUROS Regime is the king of raid for precisely this reason. It has so much impact you don't even need to spec the High Caliber Rounds to stagger everything in there.

Note that shielded enemies cannot be staggered until you take the shield down.

How exactly do all these High Caliber / Armor Piercing, etc evolutions work? In the weekly heroic I tried both the High Caliber and the Range upgrade on my Suros is both of them staggered the Minotaur.

And I don't really notice much difference in trash mobs with the High Caliber equipped; the other evolutions seem to stagger enemies just as much plus almost give a 30% range increase.

My alt is level 19 and it definitely took under 10 hours. I just did nothing but quests, including the quests that came in the mail (which helped a bunch). Quests give 2.5 to 5k each and that adds up fast. My current timer says 7 hours, but I know that at least 1.5 of those hours were spent talking to my buddies while chilling in the tower.

Not sure. I'll have to join a rumble match with him to experience it myself. I would expect it to last just as long as a full strength flash grenade though.

Here's an idea on getting strange coins and loot at a ridiculous rate:

Step 1) get to endgame

Step 2)level another character that's the same class as your first one. Get this one to 20.

Step 3)level a third character that's the same class. Get this one to 20 as well.

Congrats, you're now able to get 27 coins a week and do the raid three times in a row while getting three times the rolls for gear that works for your class.

Keep doing this until you get a character maxed out and have everything you want. Delete the other two clones and roll a different class. Attempt to have fun.

The Devil You Know just dropped off a Legendary Engram for me.

(Not my image)

So excite, haven't really given HC's a shot.

I swear by that gun. It's amazing combined with Gunslinger/Gunslinger Trance etc. You can just run around one shotting everything in the head.

I've heard similar things. Apparently, the chests share the same lockout and loot from the encounters themselves can be gained again in Heroic in the same week.

I haven't proved this yet nor has anyone confirmed it to me.
if you've already opened the chests in normal, opening them in hard won't give you anything. you will still receive loot from the four loot drops in hard.

in our run through on hard this week though, the third chest actually gave us all materials. we think it happened because the person who opened the chest first hadn't opened any of the chests in normal.

This is how every current level 30 player got to level 30.
I don't do it because it sounds boring and I am lvl 29, so not too far behind.

SUROS Regime is the king of everything. My K/D went up .15 points since using it.

I have heard a lot about this patch for the cryptarch.

What exactly does it do/effect?

Basically your engrams will decrypt at or above their rarity rate from the patch onward. Additionally, ascendant mats will now be purple rarity.

So a Purple Engram will be able to decode as a legendary weapon, armor, AssMat, or possibly an exotic. No more Purples -> Blue.

Do we know yet what each stat on the gun truly means?

What factors into the crit damage numbers? Is it a mixture of Weapon Damage, Impact and Range? Do yellow bar health enemies just take a flat 50% damage reduction? That's what I've seen with my MIDA Multi-Tool. Crit for 508 on trash mobs, (508/2 = 254 crit on yellow bar mobs). What I'm interested in is how the 508 is calculated. And it does die off when I'm far away.

It would be interesting to know if there's a formula.

EDIT: Just found this http://destiny.wiki.fextralife.com/Weapon+Stats, checking it out now.

i would do this if grinding through the entire story with a low level character wasn't so boring.

A bit of a waste, to have 3 of the same class. Aren't we only give 3 character slots?

Anyway my goal is to do the same. have 2 there now.

Yeah, that's another possibility - but an extremely boring one. It does suck how rare those ascended shards are, though. Beyond that I have still to get any raid gear.

Realistically, I would need to level to at least 26 to be able to do the weeklies and dailies without a huge burden on the team.

I just bought Destiny yesterday digitally and haven't played it since it took forever to download on PSN. Which class should I play as? Or should I just pick what I want?

Agreed. I got my titan to level 3 and i cant stand how slow my reloads are and how weak I am.

You can delete characters. The Raid will only give you gear you can use for your class, so if you have three warlocks for example, you do the raid three times and you'll have a ton of gear for warlocks.

Someone on Reddit posted some nice UI improvements for the game. Wish they would incorporate all of these into the game. All so simple yet effective. Although I can understand about not having the weapon swap out.

Loadout:
Common in other MMOs, this would let you select a different set of gear very quickly and easily. Items equipped whilst you have a given loadout selected are then associated with that loadout; switching loadout then changes gear appropriately.

Damage Type Icons:
Very simple, this one: show a small preview of the damage type icon on every weapon thumbnail. This makes swapping weapons around a lot more easy, since you no longer have to ‘hover’ each thumbnail to bring up the tooltip with the full description to find that arc fusion rifle you're so desperately looking for…

Quick Weapon Select:
Press and hold Square (PlayStation) or X (Xbox) in any context where square isn't already in use and it will bring up this interface. Pressing left and right on the directional pad will cycle between all weapons of this class in your inventory. Great for selecting special damage types during fights against majors/ultras.

Return to The Tower:
Does what it says on the tin; skip the loading screen for the director and go straight to the tower from the field.

YOU'VE WOKEN THE BUNGIE!

They will now patch out strange coin rewards for secondary and tertiary characters.

So between the Hard Light exotic and Surous Regime which one is better of the two would you guys say?

Do you prefer a higher rate of fire with slightly less accuracy, or a slower rate of fire with slightly more accuracy?

Tbh, out of the Suros, Shingen-E or Hard Light, I think I'd be happy with either.

hmm, i'll consider this if not only to change my hairstyle lol

You give your alt your main's gear. Just put it in the bank. Instant level 26/27/28.

range is a factor. probably way more of a factor in the future cause they are nerfing AR and shotgun range.

You can see though if you take a AR and try and shoot it at a very far away enemy it will do less damage. Shotguns have a very steep damage falloff, they only seem to do anything for me within melee striking distance.
