Weekly heroic strike has increased fire damage modifier for both you and enemies. Use fire weapons. Also for the boss, there are several cheese methods to beat him. On phone so hard for me to look up right now.

Oh just cheese it from the top? Well its too late anyways as it resets tmrw but I'm trying not too cheese anyways. Haven't so far in destiny but I'm hitting a wall learning how to improve my game.
 
The title of the thread says the patch is out Tuesday, but was it actually said anywhere in a press release or tweet when it would be out? I've only seen "next week".

I found fire was doing more against void shields that purp weapons with that modifier on. Am I correct?

This destiny, The harder the the mission the more Cheesing is required.

I think people are assuming it will come with the reset. For some reason, I think last week's patch wasn't until Wednesday.

Doing a new play through as an Awoken Warlock and I'm watching the Reef cutscene.

None of this makes any sense if you're playing as an Awoken, ah hell it doesn't make much sense anyways.

Yup. My timely pickup of that solar scout rifle, with a solar sniper, solar machine gun, and sunsinger grenades pretty much had a field day with it.

not that this justifies any of the story or characterization whatsoever, but the Awoken Guardians on earth have stood apart from the queen for like decades and she considers them foreigners.

Correct. The weakness is something like 2x damage, the fire skull is crazy and is more like 3-4 damage.

I did like 700 damage per bullet with my legendary fusion rifle in the nightfall/weekly.
 
Seems like they've bungie'd the summoning pits. I was doing the vanguard strikes earlier today and ended up with just one other guy and we were both lvl18. Since I wan't sure how it might go I stayed at the doorway and sure enough the other guy rushed in, released Phogoth and died. The shrieker popped up so I ducked back into the next room, thinking I'd wait till he revived. After a few seconds got the darkness has consumed you screen. Luckily it went better the next time, but be warned, wanting to cheese this one might not go as planned.

They should have matchmaking for everything. If they make content that is so difficult it requires coordination you will start to get people who will only try it when they know what they're getting into (of course you will also get griefers). I get what their intent was, but they should rethink that decision.

Cool.cool. is the.mobs that spawn with boss on a timer or when health gets to a certain level?

Its the.mobs that kept getting us while non cheesing

IMO that fight is harder than Atheon though. At least it was for our group.
 
Question: I realized that "light" is just a damage multiplier. How soloable is the Weekly strike (level 22) if I am lvl 23(all gear/weapons maxed out)?
 
Anyone willing to run through the weekly strike with me? I just got an exotic bounty and all I have to do is the weekly to complete it :D

I get that, but it's not like that's ever really explained in game.

Oh and The Reef orbit background is so beautiful, shame we can't just go back there whenever.
