New Driveclub gameplay

Speaking of which, has Sony fixed the issues with it yet? I don't really share clips, only screenshots, so I haven't been following it closely.

There are no issues with the share button. It works as intended. Because some Gaffers have a hard time with it doesn't mean it's completely broken for everyone.

All of the tracks are free:

– 11 new tracks with 23 routes, which includes an entirely new location

And cars are a combination of free and paid:

– 9 free
– 38 paid (bundled together as 8 car packs)

Hope this makes things clear :)

Some of the DLC tracks will feature in existing locations, but there will be an entirely new location coming to DRIVECLUB for free. You’ll have to wait to find out where it is going to be though ;)

Free tracks, free cars, and a free location? That's awesome. Good guy Evo.

I have my recording length set to 1 minute and have never had a problem with it. I always use it for The Last of Us MP. I used to have it set to 3 minute and didn't have any issues then either.

Will the car packs have spread out releases or all release at the same time?

They are spread out nicely month by month.

Anyone else playing on downloading the free version to check it out first? The "full game" upgrade is £35 on PSN which is cheaper than I expected.. Does anyone know the download size of the free version? The full game is around 15GB if I remember correctly.

The free version is the same size, because it is just the full game with locks on the other content.

super agressive/unfair (especially later on)

Great.

the penalty system also deosnt help things.

Not so good if they blame you for collisions that were caused by the AI. But maybe those 2 people want the easy way out like in Gran Turismo and just want the AI to be their brake pedals into the corners, which considering how most reviewers play racing games it wouldn't surprise me one bit.

If the AI really is agressive and closes the door then fantastic. I don't want the AI to give me free passage just because they are driving a fixed AI routine around the track. I want F1 2010 AI dynamic behavior.

My biggest concern right now is the rubberbanding AI considering Evolution's past. Motorstorm Pacific Rift was especially terrible in that regard. Have they said anything about that?

Of course I'll do that. Why should I buy something blindly if I can test it out beforehand?

Pretty sure Rushy has already confirmed there is no rubber banding in the game.

Downloading beta now, squeeee!

Apparently I'm still apart of the PSN beta tester group despite never participating in one, only applying seven years ago.

Ok but it is confusing because i've seen some people talking about rubberbanding AI in the TGS build... so what the heck ?

Edit : saw the post above me. It is good to know but the confusion is here it seems. For the post below me : yeah maybe but it was from hands on, so spreading this kind of misinformation in hands on is really fucked up.

So what's the general feeling about the T100?

I've got plan that means I won't get murdered/divorced by my wife, but before I pull the trigger, I want some impressions if anyone has any?

I know about that but after being burned so many times I have to see/play it to believe it. Rubberbanding is the biggest design mistake in a racing game no matter the genre.

We have to maintain the current level of

We watch this in jest, yet we know a few reviewers are going to complain about being penalised for driving that way!

Hmm, sorry I have no idea - how are they being penalised for it?

You receive a few second collision penalty, your car is speed restricted after a crash like that, it looks like 49kph in the gif.

You also receive speed restriction penalties for overtaking other cars when outside of the track, ie. On grass/ rough area.

How are people telling the difference between rubber banding and AI just taking a corner better, or simply using drafting against you? When I think back to Gran Turismo and the big variety in times, exit speeds etc in a simple one corner licence test it's more a wonder why we don't see more of it. Maybe it's more a question of what's wrong with the AI in other games rather than crying foul in a game where the dev has explicitly stated it doesn't exist?
