This thread is one of the jumping to conclusions/pre-order cancelled kind.
Yeah, so much jumping to conclu... oh wait, they flat out admitted they held back the PS4 version to "avoid debates".
This thread is one of the jumping to conclusions/pre-order cancelled kind.
Can't believe even after almost a year some are still thinking the power gap between PS4 and XOne is related to optimization. Stop being so delusional people.
Dude I already acknowledged that I misread that. Like way back in the thread. ._.
"We decided to lock them at the same specs to avoid all the debates and stuff,"
Can't have that, one will need to be 1080p/30+ unlocked.
After reading some previews yesterday i dont think that they are lying about this. Game sounded like a mess on the technical side.Ubisoft has told Eurogamer that Assassin's Creed Unity's final technical specifications for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One are actually still to be locked down.
With around six weeks to go until the game's launch, the developer revealed in a new expanded statement that there was still room for things to change.

Seriously like there's a pretty big difference between the two-
Xbone: 1.31 TF GPU (12 CUs) for games
Xbone: 768 Shaders
Xbone: 48 Texture units
Xbone: 16 ROPS
Xbone: 2 ACE/ 16 queues
PS4: 1.84TF GPU ( 18 CUs) for games + 56%
PS4: 1152 Shaders +50%
PS4: 72 Texture units +50%
PS4: 32 ROPS + 100%
PS4: 8 ACE/64 queues +300%
Anything the XB1 can do the PS4 should be able to do more of. No reason PS4 versions of games should be the same unless the developer wants it to........for reasons.
I don't understand. Why is this so important to you? Could you please help me understand what you mean? And these "1080p / 720p = see no difference" posts are funny as hell, every time I see them.
The inevitable spec sheet for the rescue! Did it really take 122 pages that some genius pulls the specs out of his hat?
It seems like they are back tracking now..aaahahahahahaha
Its simple ubi. bump it up to 1080p and i'll bite

They are saying what they can to stop the bleeding of pre-orders.
Need to update the OP:

Yeah, I bet.
You obviously didn't read 121 of themTo be fair this thread isn´t much of a "debate".
This thread is one of the jumping to conclusions/pre-order cancelled kind.
Well the specs don't lie.
Befause Sony Employees thought that the game was 1080p and said so when asked on several occasions. Why is PlayStation doing the talking?
What are you guys intend to do?
Make a petition or inform everybody to not buy the console version?
You obviously didn't read 121 of them![]()

And it makes perfect sense for Ubisoft to act in this way. They didn't want to deliver the impression that one version is "better" than the other. So they go for complete parity. I'd wager this will result in more sales overall, even when factoring in the lost" sales and cancelled preorders I see in this thread. GAF buying habits don't reflect a real world situation.
Im sure the cancelled pre-orders must be in the dozens now!
Why does it bother you so much?

who's next
Then we all win. What if both versions end up 1080p/30?
I'm sure it is.
What is hilarious is all of this is all the mocking of cancelling pre-orders and laughing at internet outrage still after the launch of the Xbox One. Honestly, the amount of people who still don't believe that social media is a very powerful tool with the ability to cripple a product pre-release is absolutely staggering.
Then again, I guess it probably feels pretty good to mock people. Gives people a warm feeling inside to laugh at people who are upset and taking a stand against something they feel is wrong and unwarranted. Shouldn't expect anything less when a large amount of people still think this is about resolution.

Where?Befause Sony Employees thought that the game was 1080p and said so when asked on several occasions.
I take it you've not seen the comments on Twitter, Eurogamer, and all the other games sites that are reporting this. Many people aren't happy.I'd wager this will result in more sales overall, even when factoring in the lost" sales and cancelled preorders I see in this thread. Can' t believe people are canceling their preorders because of this.
As long as the game is fun, couldn't care whether it's 1080p and 30fps. Wouldn't stop my enjoyment of the game.

I find the situations not comparable at all.
Ubisoft made the call. Not me. But it seems like they wanted to avoid a discussion like "Xbox One is inferior, don't buy the game for Xbox One, and if you only have an Xbox One, don't buy the game at all because it's garbage!".But I thought that no one cared about resolutions and that we can't see the difference anyway, so why would it result in more sales?
UPDATE 7/10/14 11.40am: Ubisoft has told Eurogamer that Assassin's Creed Unity's final technical specifications for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One are actually still to be locked down.
With around six weeks to go until the game's launch, the developer revealed in a new expanded statement that there was still room for things to change.
"Final specs for Assassin's Creed Unity aren't cemented yet," a Ubisoft spokesperson explained, "but we can say we showed Assassin's Creed Unity at 900p during our hands-on preview event last week. We're confident that gamers will be thrilled with the gorgeous graphics and how Paris is brought to life in Assassin's Creed Unity.
"The development team has been hard at work delivering the best Assassin's Creed possible on next generation consoles. Regardless of which platform you're playing on, Assassin's Creed Unity will answer what an Assassin's Creed game built from the ground up for the next generation of gaming looks like and will be the best looking Assassin's Creed game ever developed."
This. Can' t believe people are canceling their preorders because of this.

Nor do they tell the whole truth but whatever. I am glad this thread has it all now![]()
