Did Brooklyn become a city overnight?
Brooklyn is a borough in NYC.
Shucks, I didn't know anything about that.
Thanks for notifying me of it.

Not really. If one team loses, there's a chance that another of your teams can win that week.

I feel sorry for nobody that lives outside of Detroit.

When this is as good as it's ever gotten, the gotten has obviously never been good.
Brooklyn used to be an independent city, but then joined New York City in 1898.

Toronto Hockey fans are arguably the most hardcore Hockey fans in the world. They're stuck with the Leafs. The leafs have made the playoffs once in the last 8 years or so IIRC. Yet, the fans are always there filling the arena at full capacity at every game, year after year. I honestly feel bad for them. They deserve a winning team.
No. As someone with a total disinterest in sports I've always been confused by fans who cling to shitty teams just because they're from a certain city or state. If your area's team sucks I don't get why you wouldn't just move your loyalty to the next closest team that doesn't suck. But maybe i'm missing something there. Sentimentality?
On the plus side the Red Wings won a championship 7 years ago and made the finals more than that once? ...no, there's no plus side. Not even the 23 years of solid play off opportunities. To be fair, NFC North as a whole is just a division of upsets.
I live in Toronto so I have three disappointing teams.
The Leafs had their last championship in the 60s.
The Jays just missed out on 22 seasons of playoffs, and while the back to back winning seasons in 92/93 are great - I didn't exist. At all.
The Raptors, well, you get the point. At one point they were a great team, but the one division title they have isn't cutting it.
I don't feel anything. I figure one day they'll get good again, or miraculously become good by finding the necessary set pieces. Until then, well, gg.
I'm a Tampa Bay Bucs fan and the only fun part is knowing we'll have a high draft pick for the next season.
Ow, right through the heart. My sympathies to all those poor Everton fans out there.
Picked? I was born a Cubs fan.
The city of Houston has both my pity and contempt.
Dude, the Raps have a grand total of TWO division title. This city barely has any titles to speak of, let's not ignore the few ones we do have
At least you don't follow Toronto FC. Consider yourself lucky. They make the Leafs look like a championship team.
My sympathies to all those poor Everton fans out there.

On the flip side, when your shit local team finally comes good and achieves something the feeling is amazing.
It's a high glory hunters will never feel.
I'm a Knicks fan.
Chiefs and Royals fan here. Law of averages comes around eventually.
My sympathies.
<3. at least the Royals and the Chiefs won a championship.
MontrealWe have the greatest team in the history of the NHL, and yet we haven't come close to winning the cup in the last 20 years. All of our other major teams have long left.
