This is the reason I hate where they took the Fitzsimmons story. In fact where they took all the pairings. It's like romantic subplots are the only thing they can think of doing with the characters. I wish they would do a something a little less obvious.
Fitz pining for Simmons makes sense. He's had limited female contact; he had a crush on Skye but she was into Ward, so he started developing feelings for Simmons.
Skye liking Ward also made sense. I hope she doesn't have any lingering feelings for him and really does hate his big fat Nazi guts. A Ward redemption arc plus Skye forgiving him would probably make me stop watching.
May and Coulson... I don't see it. They get along really well but they seem more platonic than anything. Plus Coulson has/had cello lady. It was fake May's touchy-feely personality that clued Coulson into the fact that something was wrong.
I kind of hope nothing happens between Trainspotting and Skye, but honestly they are young, attractive people in a confined space fighting for their lives. A little romance isn't implausible.
