How is framerate?
I haven't played it, but reports are pegging it at 30 with regular dips below. Evidently the running sections are hit pretty hard with framerate drops.

Hyrul Warriors in Co-op tends to have better framerate than Rise of Lyric in single player. How is framerate?
Actually, the score for this game is pretty awesome; hope we get an OST!

don't tell me this is real
I dunno, Sonic Boom seems to be glitchier and run significantly worse than AC Unity. The adventure/exploration is well done and while there are some crazy glitches, it's nowhere near sonic '06 levels. Or AC Unity from what I'm hearing.
I really want this game to be good because I'm going to have to buy it for my son who is a Sonic nut.
Please tell me it's good or at least a lot of fun to play.
If he hasn't played them already, I say get him Sonic Generations, Sonic Colors, Sonic Rush, Sonic Rush Adventure, the Sonic Advance trilogy, or the old school Genesis Sonic games instead. Those were pretty good.
Sonic 2006 obviously had technical problems in the form of loading screens but at least the game itself ran at 60 fps (mostly) on 360.
Not as Silver though.... The drops when you stressed the physics engine were intenseSonic 2006 obviously had technical problems in the form of loading screens but at least the game itself ran at 60 fps (mostly) on 360. Sonic Boom seems to range between 10-30 fps depending on the scene.
Suuuuuure....I really want this game to be good because I'm going to have to buy it for my son who is a Sonic nut.

I think this is a great idea, less sense of entitlement from reviewers and they actually have to review the games they bought which means they can't just review genres they not interested in and they will give a more reliable review from a consumers point of view.
It's easy just do bash a game and not put any effort into if it's free.

Yeah watching some of Cobanermani's gameplay, this really doesn't deserve the title of Sonic 2014, it's not polished, but that don't mean it's terrible.

Wow. That seems like a pretty important thing for them to miss. A pause exploit.
Edit: Oh wow I just got to the T-posed stand-ins.
I thought Cobi didn't like this game. At least that's what he conveyed on Twitter.

Haha oh my god. What on earth is going on?
Pausing seems to reset the variable that keeps track of whether or not knuckles is on the ground or in the air and the game, thinking he is on the ground, enables moon jumping. That's what it looks like at the very least.
In Sonic 06 there was an item that flat out enabled moon jump which tells you how broken that game was unless that was somehow intentional![]()
It does and it doesn't.So after playing this for about 6hrs today i will say this game is a better game than lost world but lost world is a better sonic game. (if that makes any sense)

"Mostly" is giving it a a heaping load of credit it doesn't deserve.
Sonic 2006 had massive technical problems, excessive loading was just a small portion of them.
I think you're mis-remembering here. Yes, it definitely had pretty serious dips but the average frame-rate was still *MUCH MUCH* higher than Sonic Boom. The biggest issue with 2006 (performance wise) is the fact that it doesn't drop frames - it continues to display all frames even when the performance falls below its target resulting in slow motion. Not as Silver though.... The drops when you stressed the physics engine were intense![]()
So THAT is how SEGA plans to get sales
It must be DEATH WATER.Why does water... hurt? =0
I wonder if Big Red Button will survive this game. It's the first project they've put out and it turns out to be an unfinished mess. Would be kind of a shame, I thought the studio had some talent...
It's easy enough for kids to get into. If they get stuck, the characters remind them what to do next......constantly (To be fair, less and less so over time.)
Some kid on Miiverse played for 14 hours straight today and he's still not done. @_@
Just finished a boat level that plays a fair bit like Geometry wars including top down perspective, 3 different weapons on the boat and you shoot using the right analog stick. That's crazy that they'd introduce something like this 5 hours in, but it's pretty awesome.
Sonic and Tails collect this accessory that allows them to stand on water after activating it by passing a large blue ring.It must be DEATH WATER.
