This is for October's NPD, unless Sunset Overdrive or Bayonetta 2 act below or above expectations in some grand way, there is unlikely to be too large of meltdowns

He always make predictions for NPD months I think. It's just sometimes these predictions are not leaked. I guess he didn't make a controversial prediction this month, so the leaks are not worth it.

AC bundle came out yesterday, expect it to fall quickly, especially with the mediocre reviews of the game. COD bundle is $400 vs Destiny $450 and Destiny was a September release, so that is no surprise.

I guess the only question is (which you were alluding to) is will the Asscreed bundle be the defacto XB1 SKU until something better comes along and what position will it hold in the coming weeks, top 20?

It was noticed in the most recent Unity thread (the one about the blog), and it's actually about November and not October, but it's still about sales in US, right?

Assassin's Creed Unity on Xbox One is already under $50 ($49.89), and the game released just two days ago. It's true that the bundle is the highest selling hardware currently, but this doesn't speak that well for the standalone version.

PS4 version continues to go from $59.99 directly from Amazon to around $51/$52 (shipment costs excluded, around $54/$55 when including them) sold by third party.

That happened to madden as well. The 360&X1 versions were like $40 a few weeks after launch while the Playstation versions were still full price.

Oh wow NPD is tonight? Completely slipped my radar just like last month. For some reason NPD night always seems to appear out of nowhere for me. Really sad that Cream and Aqua won't be making an appearance later tonight. :(

Aqua if you're reading this regardless of whether you post numbers or not in NPD threads I've always loved reading your intelligent, insightful and analytical posts. You always seemed good-natured and responsive in all of the threads I've seen you post in. Almost every post I've read of yours has enlightened me or taught me something new.

Please come back when you feel you're ready. GAF is not the same without you.

Well Hindle and Raymaker are already out, so its probably gonna be pretty tame unless some juniors pickup the slack.
 
Those of you asking how about how we are going to get any data this month really weren't paying attention in the last NPD thread, or else this is some huge elaborate troll.

Hopefully Bombenetta did at least 125-150k. The game is most likely extremely front-loaded and won't have the usual Nintendo legs.

It probably won't even reach 300k LTD ;.;
 
This NPD thread is going to be pathetic. Unless the big 3 give us numbers out of pity, we won't have much to go on besides speculation and vague statements.
