Yes a lot of people took him seriously. His original videos' comment sections were full of whining teens calling him gay and stupid, just people hating him fiercely lol. He got a bunch of video replies with people explaining how wrong and stupid he is, which are hilarious too.
If Sony doesn't announce an FF7 remake I am selling my PS4. FF7 helped put Playstation on the map and it's a slap in the face to fans of that game that they have not given us what we want.
I'm extremely hyped for this event. I could only imagine how pumped I'd be if I was going. The stuff thats already known to be there is worth the hype for me. Uncharted 4 and The Order, Bloodbourne, Jaffe, NMS, Rime and a plethora of smaller games ect. So much is playable. We are going to get a lot more hands on impressions from games coming out soon. New trailers, new announcements (whatever they are) from Capcom and Sony. We will probably get some release dates.
All of this excitement for what games we speculate will be there is just fun for me, its nice to let your imagination run wild. Its the 20th anniversary, I think its cool to expect ONE big new announcement. I think 4 may be pushing it. Its impossible at this point for me to be disappointed with what is already a great looking event. This thread alone has been worth it lol.
edit:and I cant wait for more people to try Morpheus. One you try VR its hard not to see the potential and at least be a little excited for its future. It needs to get on as many peoples heads as possible.
I know Sony hasn't promised anything, but when several posters, who presumably were cleared by mods, have teased 3 megatons, yeah I'm gonna be disappointed if the event doesn't deliver. I don't put that on Sony though.
Some are subtle (Verendus/Gopher) other offer a bit more of a tease (Worthy).
A small spark of "legit" info is enough to lit a forest (in GAF's case, a volcano).
You should really really lower your expectations.

I'm already excited about Adr1ft, No Man's Sky, Metal Gear Online and Uncharted 4 for this week.
I personally hope that Horizon will show up and for a PS1 revival be that Ape Escape or a PS2 one like The Getaway. Just anything that would got my nostalgia.

I don't know how much the rest of you know about Playstation Experts (I'm an Playstation Expert), but honor and shame are huge parts of it. It's not like it is in XBox Land where you can become successful by being an asshole. If you screw someone over in Playstation Land, you bring shame to yourself, and the only way to get rid of that shame is repentance. (Your friend's shame is stealing one of the Legendary Playstation Experts Pins from The Ultimate Pile Of Pins!)
What this means is the Playstation public, after hearing about this, is not going to want to become a Playstation Expert, nor will they try and complete games because becoming an expert has been ruined. This is HUGE. You can laugh all you want, but your friend has alienated an entire market with this move.
Your friend, publicly apologize and cancel FFVIIR for PS4 or you can kiss your business goodbye.

This hype train is beyond any capacitive measure. We've had the gamut of inexplicable outcomes:
1. Crash is returning .
2. Shenmue 3 is a thing!
3. FFVII Remake
4. Street Fighter is Exclusive
5. Also, Dragon's Dogma is exclusive.
6. Also, Dragon Quest is going to be there.
7. PS1/PS2 Emulation 8. Cheesecake will be served.

I gotta say I really think Playstation vs Capcom might be a thing.
