Capcom's Hiroyuki Kobayashi : "Unexpected" game announcement "soon"

Darkstalkers Are Not Dead.

...just sayin'.

Ono said ressurrection needs to start selling 4 mio right now to even consider a new entry in the series. It's dead.

I wouldn't think much of that seeing he's just a community leader for capcom-unity or w/e...must keep hype in check...
The DMC twitter account tweeted about Michelle Guns new DMC 3/4 video and was trying to convince me that DmC is a good game after mocking them. The conversion was longer than I expected, usually they ignore me or just tweet once. I found this weird.

Add me to the Dragon's Dogma 2 hype train. There was a decent amount of interest from Capcom a while back but it didn't appear in TGS.

DMC5 I'd be fine with, but I don't need another Dino Crisis. I don't need Resident Evil with dinosaurs.

I actually hope it's DMC5, and then later this gen DD2. I really want both games, but i need DMC5 more than anything, and it's been a long time since last one.

Also open world DMC? Please no, no more experimenting with an already great recipe.
It needs updating, but never open world. First of all the performance drop will be severe, secondly, a more linear game would allow for much spectacle and in 60fps.

Whatever it is I just want it to be a megaton so I can sit back and watch the reactions on here.

I'm keeping hope alive that its Dragon Dogma 2. While there at it, release Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen Masterworks edition on the PC to hold us over until then.

DD2 or DMC5?

Why not both? Oni said MANY THINGS! But if i have to decide than DD2. If it comes out by next year than it would be perfect timing for a game like this.

Also i wouldnt be surprised if its also Capcom vs Playstation because 20 Years Playstation.

I wonder if DA was a profitable expansion. It went on PS+ stupidly quickly. Like a couple months after release. Probably the fastest release of a retail title on the service ever.

Pshh. Devil May Cry or Dragon's Dogma wouldn't be unexpected at all. Unexpected would be officially retiring Street Fighter and doing a Muscle Bomber Body Explosion revival instead.

There's no better time to reboot dino crisis than now because of jurassic world hype. Pretty sure Sony know it too, which is why we got mecha dinosaurus with guerilla's horizon.

I hope it's not Dragon's Dogma 2, it's an average game IMO.

IMO Dragon's Dogma is a really, really awesome 7,5 game that could be turned into an even more awesome 9-10 game if they improved the mission structure, added online co-op and hired a writter that could turn the story into something interesting.

The world was awesome (even if not that big), exploring the world was awesome, the battle system was awesome, the battle system with a bow was even more awesome, and fighting big enemies was really intense and fun.

We need a sequel that keeps what works and tweaks / changes what doesn't.

I've always found it inexplicable why the major publishers like Capcom, who have so many excellent IPs, don't just scale back their budgets a little bit and release more titles.

Like, they could totally gotten away with a 1-2 new DMC game lasts generation that were only incrementally better looking than DMC4, putting all their resources into some new assets and recycling the core game engine and mechanics. They did it with six Mega Man games, after all.

This is a huge problem with a lot of the Japanese developers I've noticed, where they're stuck trying to reinvent the wheel with every new outing while western devs are running circles around them. It's killing Square-Enix and Konami, too (how many Assassin's Creed games were released in the same timeframe it took S-E to move from FF12 to FF13?)

capcom is trying this out with rev2, but there's a whoooole lot of replies going like "looks like a ds game" and shit in response to the actual visual aspect of the game, not to mention the general distrust of the brand -and- budget games

Here's hoping they give me something to get excited about! A new proper DMC would be a godsend for Capcom right now. Of course, all any of us can do is hope and pray that they don't botch this.

Dragon's Dogma 2 or Devil May Cry 5, either would make me insanely happy.

Please be Dragon's Dogma 2!

PLEASE DON'T BE MOBILE!

Wasn't dmc 4 pretty forgettable and disappointing? If it's gonna be like the last 2 DMCs would anyone really want it? If they do bring back the devil may cry series they need to take a serious look at what made the first game and dmc 3 great and make a real effort to get back to the series roots.

We all want DMC5 or Dragons Dogma 2, and watch it be Bionic Commando another crappy reboot or maybe Lost Planet 4.

My wish, Breath of Fire or Dino Crisis.....(please dont let it be like the third installment).

Lots of fans really love it and consider it the best in the series, especially for combat depth.

DMC 4 had the best combat and two different characters to play as, I liked uncle Dante and his tacky cowboy boots. The story was meh and the game used backtracking like I had never seen before (every level after the halfway point backwards, literally). I still loved it, but it could definitely be improved.

Wish i played Dragon's Dogma in order to join DD2 hype train. All i want is DMC5, please it's been almost 7 fucking years, we need the king to return
and challenge the "Queen".

Actually i got Dragon's Dogma for cheap 2 months ago , but i'm hoping for a PC release. Never saw a so GAF loved game.
