the game runs at 4k 60 on PS5 and looks pretty good, what's the point?
So they can delist the $39.99 version, to sell you this $69.99 version with PS5 Pro update, some Dualsense stuffs and mandatory PSN login.

Those people cape for Sony like its their God and they come after you like white on rice if you ever criticize anything Sony does. Its some of the weirdest behavior I have ever seen.Remember: there are people still defending Sony's first-party output this gen.
I'm actually starting to feel this way. I've been gaming since 1981 and this generation is a goddamn embarrassment. The games are fine, but they are essentially PS4 games.Worst fucking generation, EVER.
Probably to coincide with the movie. What is the point if there is no sequel. Its the same with Bloodborne not getting a remaster.
For me the biggest thing is that it means they don't see the franchise as being dead, it's likely we will end up with a sequel (if it's not already in development).
So to that I say:

These remasters coming out don't have any influence on new games releasing. Sony has specific studios for these (Nixxes).
In fact, studios like Nixxes have been releasing a lot more work since their Sony acquisition. It's also easy money for anyone that wants to play these games.
I don't see why Sony updating their games is a bad thing. If these releases were clashing with the original studios making new work, i would understand...but not like this.
Literally every single studio at Sony is making new games as we speak.
That said i'm still convinced your post is just some copy pasta of something i missed cause you can't be serious lmao.
I played through the full game on a base PS4 so I don't really know at this point, but was that last 1/4 of the game fixed? The game just ran worse and worse the longer you went on and the FPS and shit really tanked once you got to the military encampment and that entire section of the game. I feel like a remaster could really make that section shine.
A 'remaster' would cut into sales of any sequel. Are you telling me there's hope for a sequel?
Unreal's great logo is becoming irreversibly tied to a ton of subpar games. It's impossible to stay relevant with that kind of branding strategy.Of course, I understand that we players are pissed off by it, and there is a reason for it. But the developers don't care about it, they always choose the path that is faster, and most importantly cheaper.
Agree, although "updating" legacy PlayStation games to add full DualSense functionality is something that needs to be done.Remastering games from the PS4, which are also available to purchase and play on the PS5, seems like a real waste of resources.
Sony have really dropped the ball this generation.
That's their meme reactor "E3 winner" moment, they can drop it at any time to get good headlines for the 6-12 months it takes to come out. Worst case is they save it as a carrot for getting people to buy a PS6 but its remake is as inevitable as a new Mario.Im kinda happy they are doing something with ip, but of course theres bloodborne which needs this treatment much more
Days Gone is a $10 game at this point. At least on PC who in their right mind is going to buy an unnecessary "remaster"?
Horizon didn't even look better than the original.
If Sony wants to remaster something than start digging into those PS3 games. I'm sure most players would prefer Resistance 3 or Killzone 2.

Also days gone is sub $10 game which means probably same upgrade as Horizon for those who want it
I cant think of a single thing running in engine that looks better in the original game. Oh, and the water is a big improvement, not sure why people think it isnt, is it FW good? possibly, but FW also has the sea and wave rendering which this does not have because you dont go to the sea.I've watched a few videos when I was considering paying the upgrade fee. I think the remaster looks worse at times.
I'll give this one a watch, to see if my opinion changes.
It's as if Sony refuses to release new games… The remaster everybody wants and they don't do it. Bring back old Sony.
If they do the $10 upgrade then I'll probably get it. I never played more then an hour of it but always wanted to play it and got it when it was really cheap on PSN one year.$10 upgrade and I'm in!
Enjoyed the game as a whole despite its many flaws. ..And graphics was the least of its problems. It needs a polished sequel, not a remaster.

Ikr. They should do it to all of their PS4 gamesGood idea.
The Quantic Dream games, Bloodborne, Infamous Second Son, Killzone Shadowfall, Knack 1+2, Shadow of the Colossus Remake, The Last Guardian, Gravity Rush 1+2, Drive Club, etc...Ikr. They should do it to all of their PS4 games
Factually you're not right, it runs at 1800p CBR'd to 4k 60fps. Also there aren't any haptics or triggers or quick load since it's still the PS4 Pro version.the game runs at 4k 60 on PS5 and looks pretty good, what's the point?
