I've only played through and beaten it once, so I'm all in on a remaster, especially if it's Pro enhanced.

Works for me 👍

Was thinking of a replay or new game plus, over the Xmas spell. but will hold to see if anything is announced

Didn’t play this originally till I got my ps5. Seems fitting to wait for the pro and any tasty updates

Still one of the best games from the ps4 generation (I didn’t want to play it on release, as it was just not in good shape)

And the £€$10 upgrade price is a yes from me 👍

Fuck UE5.

More devs need to stay the fuck away from that engine.
This game uses Unreal 4 anyway, porting to Unreal 5 will be a remaster, there are already ready-made tools for transferring projects from version 4 to version 5 of the engine, with a minimum of time and money costs.
And most likely this is what will happen =)

If this is true:

Zero talent left at Sony to actually produce something
Zero shame they have as a company with zero self respect to its IPs

shittest management any company can have. Even Don mattick or whatever his name was is better than the current Sony management

Watch them discontinue the PC release from steam so they can sell you the same game for 50$

Sony can fuck off and anyone who support them to be honest.

What is sad that journalist are a sellout with no balls to even flat out tell them fuck off and give the game 1 out of 10 just to fuck up the metrics score so Sony can fuck off with this shitty behaviour .

So fucking lame

I would entertain that if UE5 isn’t such a resource hog.

Of course, I understand that we players are pissed off by it, and there is a reason for it. But the developers don't care about it, they always choose the path that is faster, and most importantly cheaper.

Fantastic game. I double-dipped and bought the Steam version a while back. I don't think it needs a remaster/remake like Bloodborne does (badly), but anything that gets more people to play this game is a good thing in my view.

These remasters coming out don't have any influence on new games releasing. Sony has specific studios for these (Nixxes).

In fact, studios like Nixxes have been releasing a lot more work since their Sony acquisition. It's also easy money for anyone that wants to play these games.

I don't see why Sony updating their games is a bad thing. If these releases were clashing with the original studios making new work, i would understand...but not like this.

Literally every single studio at Sony is making new games as we speak.

That said i'm still convinced your post is just some copy pasta of something i missed cause you can't be serious lmao.

Nixxes isn't even doing the work on these games themselves. It was co-developed by Weaseltron and Stellar Entertainment. Now if you ask why gamers are angry that these studios that have nothing to do with PlayStation traditionally are spending their time on remasters? I have no idea.

These remasters fuel growth and act as onboarding for new staff and leadership roles for existing staff. I don't know why a single person complains about them.

Blurry stutterfest incoming if that's what they decide to do.

It is the only way to make a remaster worth it. It is already on ue4.

They should port it to Decima.

Here it will depend more on how lazy they are to do it properly, and what time frame they were given for development + budget. Everything always comes down to budget and time. Just doing a remaster on the already antique Unreal 4 will be a waste of time, the picture will be sharper, the textures will be changed through the AI upscaler as usual, and the lighting and shadows will be adjusted where possible (Check out the remaster of Dead Rising...). In the case of transferring to Unreal 5 there will be more tools and more possibilities, but everything will entirely rest in the hands of the developers.
They should port it to Decima.
Can you imagine the budget for transferring a game completely from one engine to another? In fact, the entire game would have to be rewritten from scratch. When studios change game engines, this usually leads to delays in release for 1-2 years.

Meh. The free PS5 update was enough with 60fps.
But hey, as long as it didnt use too many resources who should care

Calm down, this is about having a new SKU of the game to sell when the upcoming movie comes out, as it's been the case with Uncharted, The Last Of Us, Twisted Metal, Gran Turismo and Until Dawn already.

And be grateful of this strategy, because it's the only excuse they'll ever have to revisit IPs such as Gravity Rush - confirmed to have a movie adaptation on the way - or even Bloodborne, The Last Guardian and Killzone, all of which are reportedly in an exploratory/pre-production phase at PlayStation Productions.

This will also most likely be a Nixxes joint, just like Horizon, so stop acting as if these remasters are coming at the cost of original titles. They're not.

Horizon: Zero Dawn Remastered - which borderlined the limits between a remaster and a remake in terms of the quality of the work that was put into it - is our most recent reference. And if Sony intends to also appeal to the PC crowd for a $9.99 upgrade as they did with Zero Dawn, then a remaster on that same level is the way to go.

Good game, but its a weird one. Obviously like Horizon it dosnt need a remaster, im sure it will look good but they should be looking at new games at this stage. The other reason is I thought they mugged off a sequel, if this remaster is true then surly theres another game coming, maybe it was a way to get rid of that moany geeza who was the top boy on the Days Gone game.

They transferred Until Dawn from Decima to UE5 for 100 people who bought it. Why not the other way around.

A Days Gone movie?

See the gif above.

This is fucking embarassing, and I adore Days Gone. But every time this shit happens we have people saying things like

I don’t see the problem.

People don't see a problem with developers, publishers, and retailers spending finite time, money, and resources on a PS4 game that already looks good and runs at 60fps on PS5 and was literally given away for free for several years?

Anyone here could list at least five other titles that would be more worthwhile.

Man, those moments when he muttered were really weird (to say the least), one moment he'd be like " ASDADGDHDKDKF AARGH FUXK, WHY HE DID THAT? MOTHERDUCKER AGSHDJD !!" and the next exact moment he'd be all whispery 🤣🤣
What's weirder is that this happens even during conversations with other characters (while riding the bike).

My opinion ? It's just bad sound/voice over production.
