Final Fantasy VII Announced For PS4

So what does the PC version bring? What does it look like?
 
With the way things are going at SE, Final Fantasy VII ain't happening unless they go some type of co-developing with Sony going on like Bloodborne/Street Fighter 5. They don't seem to have enough time/money/people for the sort of things considering how long Final Fantasy 15 is taking, let alone Kingdom Hearts 3.

Man, Square Enix shat in everyone's mouth so hard with this one.

This is the one remake that I would give anything for. I still won't give up hope though.

So to recap- the company chose to pour millions of dollars into sequels to a game no one wanted, and then fucking threw an old ass PC port in our faces for what is arguably the most popular game in the franchise, which people have been clamoring for since the tech demo.

A perfect example of why SE is fucked, isn't it?

Unless you mod it I think the PC port has all the same textures (though at least the Steam version has the fixed music, which I'd assume the PS4 release will have). Obviously it natively renders at a higher resolution and has perspective correction on the polygons too, so none of the trademark PSOne geometry warping is present.
 
So happy my beloved FF8 is not being treated with this level of disrespect. Think I'll play it on the Vita tomorrow.

(And SE... if you're just going to straight-port stuff... how about FF12 International, huh?)
 
This was barely worth a blog post and they put it into a conference.

Square Enix, you fucking twats. Watching this company run itself into the ground when the answer for all their woes is so fucking clear just makes me cry.

Ok thank you for the answer at least I can be hyped that I can play FFVII without the horrendous pixel cluster with todays displays.
 
I'm gonna buy it cause:
1. Never finished the real game on PS1
2. The remake is as non-existent as HL3, so I'm done waiting
3. It's on PS4 with Trophies, can't go wrong with that.

Can someone make a picture of the FFVII cover with Square Enix logo on the Shinra Reactor, then Hashimoto laughing at psx where cloud was? This is the Internet after all, great time to act like it...
 
It's not like they said they're NOT doing a remake like 1000 times over, if you actually expected one, you only have yourself to blame.
 
I loved this announcement. What's weird about it though was the lack of boos from the crowd after the troll hit.
