Basically, Quicksilver & Scarlet Witch are no longer Magneto's children. I'm not sure if this also means they aren't really mutants, but I wouldn't be surprised if that was the case.

EDIT: Nope, they aren't mutants anymore, either.

Sources: Newsarama, Bleeding Cool, ComicBook

This is a retcon of a retcon lol. I'm curious to see what their new origin is though unless they go back to the old one lol.

How on the nose can you get?

"*WHEW*, thank goodness we're not related. We're NOT your kids. You are NOT our dad. I repeat: you - Magneto - have zero familial relation to us, Scarlet Witch™ and Quicksilver™."

How do you guys stand comics?

Marvel is really going all out to replace mutants because of Fox. From increasing the number of inhumans to the previous number of mutants, to down right killing off it's most popular mutant, or making them human mutates in order to connect with a movie.

don't read these garbage events. infinite axis crisis on two worlds: the thanos infinity gem bloodlines of justice coming fall 2015.

I have no idea what is going on in those panels.
Basically in Axis, the bad guys turn good & vice versa. As a result, Scarlet Witch go bonkers, but Quicksilver managed to avoid the effects. Scarlet Witch pretty much casted a spell that would strike down anyone within her bloodline, & while it hit Quicksilver, it didn't hit Magneto. Thus proving that the twins aren't Magneto's kids, which is the retcon in question.

I can't follow those panels. So they're no longer Magnetos children? Does that include Polaris?

And how are they no longer mutants?

Apparently they were never related to Magneto to begin with, nor were they mutants to begin with. Not sure if that includes Polaris.

And how are they no longer mutants?

Because Fox "stole" the Mutants and Marvel is trying to make it so that they can't have anymore.

Polaris was never his biological daughter. Her powers caused the death of her parents but Magneto had her memories blocked.

This. According to Bendis, he can still make new mutants given that he gets the go-ahead from Marvel. But Marvel is now focused on making future major characters Inhumans rather than mutants.

it was almost good because I thought SW was rewriting reality to where Mags wasn't their daughter
but this is just lame as hell
This was my first thought too.

I like Wanda but Marvel really wants me to dislike her.

Also, Magneto, please get some sleeves.

but...but... they are still related in the Ultimate line right? thats what matters!

:3

but yeah, if I was still reading comics, this would piss me off imensely, even if I love the movies

We actually read them instead of skimming random pages in random forum threads. You should try it.

I like the idea that somewhere there's an innocent family that just falls dead, never knowing that their twin cousins were still alive.

Tom Brevoort made a response to this retcon. It's in the Newsarama source.
Tom Brevoort said:
I don’t know that there’s any definitive proof of that one way or the other. But something pretty strange and unexpected is going on, certainly.
Basically this is a retcon that Marvel can retcon if things improve on the Fox relations front. Think of it as a back-door.

also, so Wanda is evil again?

how many times can she go from good to evil and back?

We don't talk about the Ultimate Universe Scarlet witch and quicksilver

I doubt it'll stick for more than a decade, if that long.
Weird decision to make, not sure what stories they are looking to tell with the pair that couldn't be told as Magneto's kids.
I'm guessing, like everyone else has already said, that they're becoming Inhumans.
