Why is there no talk of how Ryu had 2 EX bars and Chun had 3 EX bars

I also think the bowl should drop on the first hit, or knockdown.
Really neat breakdown.
Is there anything else special about the Revenge metre? If it's just for Super moves, then calling it "Revenge" seems like there's more to it, in my opinion.
I do think there'll be a number of different Isms rather than every character having their own unique version. Can't imagine the amount of work needed to go into making something for every character and then figuring out how to balance it all.
The noodle bowl is a novel idea, but yeah, that needs to fall off eventually. Even Jin's hoodie came off in Tekken 4.
Interesting to see Ryu's normal fireballs being multihit. Really interested to know whether that's now standard (leveled up for story purposes?), or some gem type of boost (nuu!)
Finally, I do hope they add a Turbo mode just for a little bit of fun.

No. VF animations were often stiff and most characters don't turn over their hips when they attack or pump the correct arms during kicks. And don't even get me going on the hit reactions.Virtua Fighter
it became denjin when he activated his triggerJust watched the video
Some key things:
Quick rise
Some sort of just defend mechanic
Ex Moves look better, (shin shoryuken is now a ex move, chunli shoots 2 kikokens)
Revenge move can combo into like Supers from Alpha/3 series and not like 4
V trigger uses whole EX bar, infinite use of EX moves
Ryu's lightning element has 2 stocks, has guard break, loses when hit
Chunli's water element has 3 stocks, loses when knock down
I have one question, it seems Ryu's revenge is Shinku Hadoken, but in the gameplay trailer he is doing a Denjon Hadoken. Does this mean there are 2 Revenge moves or Ryu does Denjin while he is in V Trigger state only.
The safe bet would be a new version of MT Framework, the same one from SFIV, SFxT and MVC3.
It's Capcom, so they will rehash as much as possible from previous games. Doesn't make sense to build everything from scratch for a brand new engine when they basically can use for PS4 the PC version of SFIV with higher settings, to add a few extra shaders, polygon count and other details.

L.I joe's breakdown of the footage
Capcom/Dimps never used MT Framework for SFIV (With the exception of the 3DS version). Even so, that was a different developer who made that port. SFV could probably be using a different engine. Either way, the game looks fantastic. Shoutouts to Capcom for not having body clipping in this game now.
So I guess I'll need to wait 5 years for the full game to be released, even though it looks like it could have just been a patch to SF4.
smh at the idea that blanka wouldn't be in vanilla
I hope he is, but you never know.smh at the idea that blanka wouldn't be in vanilla
Where the fook is Ken?!?!
Please give him back his long hair and stop making him goofy costumes Capcom, I want cool fast Ken back please!
btw--animations and hit detection looks amazing! Like a next-gen VF or something how realistic the moveset looks.
Whoa, this might actually be a PS4 system seller.
I hope he is, but you never know.
Watching it at 60 fps with a better video quality and good god does this look amazing..
It's not really too weird a concept to me since there was somewhat the same thing w/ the Super Arts gauge in the III games. Why is there no talk of how Ryu had 2 EX bars and Chun had 3 EX bars
They might change how combos work. Personally as is, I like it, just don't be too stingy with the damage scaling and it'll turn out OK.
Same here. Well, tbh Tomorrow Children, Rime, and Uncharted 4 were already very convincing (as is Morpheus), but this will pretty much cement PS4 as the fighting game fan's system. The FGC is quite big globally so this is huge for Sony, for me this is legit system seller.
Can we take one of those three out and make one of the a new new grappler?Zangief is a staple of Sf just as ryu and ken. There are many zangief fans and players. I understand it's the list that you want but surely there's nothing wrong with having several grapplers in the game. Ultra has hawk, hugo and hakan to complement zangief, I'm not sure that all of them will make sf5 so they can bring in some fresh blood in haggar, but to think that haggar will be a zangief replacement, it's just not happening. Personally, if they have zangief, r.mika and haggar as the 3 grapplers in Sf5, I'd be jelly.
The rumor is that SF5 is Unreal Engine. And with Tekken 7, Killer Instinct, all NetherRealm games and now even GG, it wouldn't surprise me.Capcom/Dimps never used MT Framework for SFIV (With the exception of the 3DS version). Any chance this hits Fall 2015?
Lol. Should probably get those eyes checked out.
I hope he is, but you never know.
I could barely tell the difference, is there higher quality somewhere? Has huge blocks of compression...
I hope he is too man, it would be shameful if he wasn't. How bare bones can it be.
I guess just SFVI is just going to be Ryu, Ken and maybe Guile if we're lucky in vanilla.
Might as well just call it a paid demo if they're going to be like that.

But, i mean, if the entirely new animations and systems look like SF4 to you (regardless of video quality), I don't know what to tell you.
Also don't know what you're going on about with characters since there has only been 3 confirmed.

Huh? You can turn off the ink effect anytime. I'm assuming you mean "outlines" but w/o the ink effect characters don't have outlines in IVI want graphics mang. It looks a bit better. Guess I'll take it. The characters were pretty ugly with those thick lines in 4.
I play it pretty casually with friends, and it's been a while.
After reading that blanka might not be in, I got the impression they were taking cues from Killer Instinct in terms of starting characters and milking the fan base.
Hard to believe there used to be a time where a capcom sealed logo game meant quality and that magical intro of the capcom logo when booting up a game. Hopefully this is the start of good things for them.
In the era of streaming, the comeback is king. They need to get rid of the revenge meter. I'm tired of most modern fighting games rewarding the player for getting their ass handed to them. What the fuck.
Those days are gone. I remember being like 11-14, what a stretch of good games, Viewtiful Joe, good REs, Onimusha. Those days are gone but SFIV is my favourite fighting game of all time, so hope is there.

If that's the case, then I think every character will have a powered up Revenge move
For example
Ryu
EX Moves - Powered Hadoken, Shin Shoryuken, Powered Hurricane Kick
Revenge - Shinku Hadoken
V Trigger - Infinite Ex Moves, Loses trigger on first hit, Guard break, Denjin Hadoken
Chunli
EX Moves - Double Kikoken, Double Lightning Kicks, Powered Spinning Bird Kick
Revenge - Super Art 3 from Third Strike
V Trigger - Infinite Ex Moves, Loses trigger on knockdown, ???, Powered SA3

If Blanka doesn't make it in vanilla, I'm playing Chun Li. She looks really fun.
We wouldn't have supers that way, since EX meter is apparently only for EX and power ups.
Maybe just make revenge build the same way as EX (both hitting and getting hit instead of being just a comeback mechanic) or inverting the meters and giving the power up as the comeback mechanic instead of super combos?
