Final Fantasy XV TGS 2014 Trailer: English Voices

Haven't we already been teased about the existence of Gigas/giants? I remember this trailer at 2:40, people were analyzing the really interesting fact that the "iron giant" swinging this sword was several orders of magnitude larger than the normal enemies. If you look at the still shot, the body of the giant is clearly behind the building in the distance. That means that the giant in this clip is absolutely massive.

This is a different giant though.

It looks more like a Gigas

I've been watching the trailer a lot of times now, and I must say, the voices do sound better once you're used to them. Noctis sounds fine (except for the Kratos rage mode parts).

...how many giants are gonna be in this game? (not remotely complaining)

Considering FF designs and considering how much they're increased in this game I'd say quite a few. But if Exentryk is right and this is indeed a boss, then who knows.

Although Garulas are possibly the most common enemy we've seen and they are already bigger than you...

Pretty sure we saw NIflheim knights.

Pretty sure we saw NIflheim knights.

They don't seem to be that common though, we've only seen them in story events and as special encounters on the map.

The normal monsters you seem to run into in the world map are probably Garulas, Goblins, Dual Horns and the like.

Yeah, only in the walkthrough video.

We've seen Niflheim knights for every single video.

Yes, because only in the walkthrough video we saw something that was not part of the story >.>

Don't get me wrong, I think we'll probably see soldiers all the time, but driving around the world map we'll most likely see monsters and animals more often.

Just found a full version of the scan, oh boy if that woman is really Cid, although it's not specified (also they don't even seem to be talking about airships, unless they have a kanji for it that i couldn't translate), we're in for some debate.

Also, the monster's definitely Titan, so maybe it's a summon boss fight?

Oh, and there's a city that totally looks like California, wasn't expecting that lol.

Not a fan. The voices are way too cartoony. They just doesn't gel with the visuals and atmosphere. Some more natural sounding voices would go a long way.

I've seen the new images, the setting is so unique for the genre, finally some fresh air.

Hahaha, come to think of it it does give massive Out Run vibes so I guess that kinda shouts "Cali".

I was initially thinking Balamb

Yes I know Balamb is supposed to be Cycladic/greek-ish

That city looked gorgeous, and Cid has massive... goggles. I like how unique her look is, and I hope it's not a minor character that we only get to see for 2 minutes, like that villian from XIII that everyone was so excited about (I keep forgetting her name)

Speculations are that she's the one pimping your car, lmao.

That said, when is Jump Festa streaming for S-E?

Yup. I can already see the responses already. I don't like it myself either but it isn't something as bad as stuff we've seen in the Metal Gear games for example.

Also is that town Solheimm? Or maybe it's just a smaller town and not a nation? Maybe they'll explain it this weekend.

If she's in a city inspired by Miami and she shows some cleavage, what's the problem. Besides just think about Rosa and Rydia in FFIV DS, FF has its share of sensual female ladies, it's really nothing new.

We also do have a guy walking around shirtless for no apparent reason lol. Both of their costume designs are weird in my book.

Do you reckon we could change their costumes?

I don't think we live in a world where game developers pretend that all women dress modestly. Especially when Gladio is essentially male fanservice if you apply that logic to both genders.

But I digress.

The scan just says she is a mechanic.

Thanks, i was still trying to figure it out.

Also if it would have been Cid, it would have got a better reveal, since its kinda of a big deal.

Maybe just some NPC from the inevitable "oh no we broke our car we need to find a mechanic now!" moment.

How you think he doesn't sound like a real person is beyond me. Are you only referring to his grunts? Because at the end there he sounds fine.

Because he doesn't. He sounds like a person unnaturally trying to make his voice sound sound lower and gruffer than it actually is. Real people don't talk like that, not unless they're doing it on purpose, at least. It's a cartoon voice, no other way to describe it.

It would be cool if we could upgrade the car with that mechanic, do we know if we can ride the car in open areas? or can we only ride it on specific roads?

You can already see in the TGS trailer that it goes off-road.

But please, no car-pimp mechanic, that would be a bit too much.

Saw the scan, the hype is real, I didn't expect them to show things outside of the demo.
There's only so much they can show from the demo area without completely ruining every surprise it might have in store for us in March. And Jump Festa is somewhat of a big deal for Square Enix, so it isn't all that surprising that they wouldn't just show us more of what we've already seen. I was expecting them to show an important new trailer there which would show more story, more characters and some city gameplay.

From what I remember, you can ride it anywhere that allows it to. In the trailers you see them driving on the fields. Also the car won't be upgradable.
