On my PS4, I have to manually input it, and I cant log in, after an hour or so of trying.

It doesn't. You just go offline to bypass the EA login, otherwise that will never stop trying (or take a ridiculously long time).

You can play it without PSN. Just go to settings and set the console to offline. Then it won't check for the EA servers.
