Do you think Metal Gear is an ideology?

Over the years, Metal Gear designer and our leader Hideo Kojima been preaching us with every release of his finest. Each and every one of his preaches consisted of a set of ideas, a message he wants to convey to his fans and followers, ideas he couldn't express freely through movies so he had to resort to video games and he did an exceptional job. It almost feels like it's an ideology, the sacred truth or the hidden testament.

But don't you feel that over the past decades, this man got a big army behind him, supporting every move he does and everything he says and at some point some of us blindly follow him and we somehow manage to always fall for his trolls just as a reminder from his part that he is still our leader in charge, and that he's still wise as ever? He recently reminded us of that fact using P.T. as an example. He brought the whole world together to solve one of his puzzles. And together we did it. We are a legion, a power in the gaming industry that cannot be stopped as long as our leader Hideo Kojima reigns, we follow!

Brace yourself, his next message is coming this year! V has come to!

All hail our leader, the one and only, Hideo Kojima!

I love Resident Evil and I'm a big fan but are you seriously comparing Resident Evil to Metal Gear?

Dang I mean yes Kojima won't shut up and it can be sort of annoying and patronizing (even if I agree with his stance). But Metal Gear as an ideology? Sorry, he makes a great game series, but his worldview is hardly fresh and unheard of.

OP, ignore the hayters. May the love that blooms on a battlefield forever be programmed into your nanomachines.

It's not an ideology unto itself. It just has ideas in it like most stories. Why do you do this to yourself, Batzi?

I think the ideology of MGS is basically shoving a bunch of different philosophies and world-views together with no real foresight or thinking on how it all fits together.

At least that's how I see it.
