I would like to visit Cali and SF i mean it can't be more expensive than ny?

Although south beach is the place to be.
Haaaa, it is. I'm in the bay area, and visited NYC for the first time last year. There's way more fun stuff to do cheaply in NYC, including eats.
san Francisco has been a dream of mine since a little boy but over the years my eyes have turn elsewhere.

Im considering moving to Chicago now and maybe..maybe seattle
This year is my last ditch effort to find something that keeps me in the bay area, otherwise I'm going to Portland or Seattle.

My first Chemistry test is January 26th at 8:30. My first Genetics test is January 26th at 8:30.

WHAT DO I DO????

Is it that bad?

Two tests, same time.

Chem is worth 20%, Genetics 15%. No makeup tests or rescheduling for either.

Joke Answer:

Use your genetics knowledge to clone yourself so that you can take both tests at once.

Real Answer:

Talk to the professor you like the most and let them know that you have a schedule conflict and would like to take the test on a different date.

Two excellent ideas. I like the first one more, seeing as how both profs give off "unapproachable grumpy dick" attitude.

They always say no rescheduling but if you're put in a spot then they'll likely give you a break. Just explain the situation, what's there to lose?

Be polite and friendly I'm sure he'll help out.

Howdy! I live in Annapolis, actually, but I spend a good deal of time in DC (when I can actually stand to be outside).

I visited Cali for the first time two summers ago (San Jose). I'd love to go back some more, but I'm not sure about living there. People seem to move at a slower speed than what I'm used to. Maybe it was just that city, though.

And now I must brave the cold and dig out my car. Wish me luck, folks.

I've been to San Jose as well and it definitely isn't as fun or exciting as SF, SD, or some of the beach/coastal cities. Just let me travel plz.

Good luck!

Heh. SF, Chicago, and Seattle are the cities I want to visit this year.

Most of all, if they're both unapproachable dicks, be professional. At worst they'll say no without being too dickish about it (as long as you're professional) but at best they'll grudgingly accept that you need to reschedule.

If that fails, go above their head to a department lead. You cannot be reasonably expected to take two tests at the same time and someone, surely, will see that. You probably won't have to do that though cause the profs will likely see the light well before you have to escalate.

The Golden Gate Bridge must be quite a scenary. One day I'll visit SF no doubt.

I've been to San Jose twice and never seen anything other than the job site I was working at and the hotel I was staying at. Traveling for work can be infuriating sometimes.

Damn, it is nice to have a good cold beer after hard day at work. Currently experimenting with Czech lagers :P

Good news!!! I can file an appeal. I still have about 18 credits left before then, even. It's going to be okay :)

Congrats.

Looking forward to eating some rosca today !

Thanks everyone for your positive thoughts ;) I feel so much better about life right now!

... now to move my TV out before my ex thinks she can keep it....

I think we're in the 80's right now, yes?

That sounds right.

Wait a minute....people are actually proud of living in Florida?

I'm escaping to South Africa later in the month. That tells you how much I enjoy Florida. I would actually like to live in a liberal ass place like Seattle or Chicago (even if the cold will kill me).

Do You know the amount beautiful ppl there? Why not lol

There are some good looking people here, but I have gotten along best with Chicagoans than Floridans...and I find the north has better looking people.

It's great, even in a storm.

This is a gorgeous picture. I love it!

Aw shucks ;) Chicago is fun. My slightly southern home away from home.

I'd say you'll get used to the cold, but you won't. I'm not even used to it, and I'm a native. The good news is that you can just put on my clothes and it's not so bad.

Having moved from New Mexico up to Pittsburgh I will always take cold over hot. In the 115 degree heat of New Mexico you literally can't take off enough to be comfortable. You will just be hot no matter what. In the -20 degree cold of Pittsburgh I can be rather comfortable as long as I'm wearing the correct layers and accessories.

Cold > Hot

You never get used to the heat and humidity. Lived here my whole life, and worked outdoors for the past year and a half, and I still haven't adjusted to the nine months out of the year. So I'll choose Chicago for the music, and super hipster women.

I've never been to America

I rly want to go

I want to go to Canada more though

America is great, pending the state and city. The Deep South is garbage, but Boston, Seattle, and Chicago are all amazing places to visit. I can't say about New York City since I have never been there.

exactly the reason why i want to move there lol, i just heard it can be kinda segregated...but i should not have an issue with that :)

After living in South Africa, I feel like I won't have much issues living in the "poorer" parts of Chicago. Sai, where in the city was your place considered? I really liked your place!
