What I don't get is why he's swearing at the Amiibo. Wouldn't it make more sense be holding a rare Amiibo and swearing at us?

No. Rosalina is also unavailable to pre-order from them. Every where that sells Amiibos apart apart from Shopto and GAME(places that take pre-orders) will be selling all the Wave 3 Amiibos as normal, which means having to scramble to get them in retailers and online. Yeah that's Euros. But it does explain why Germany have so many on Amazon. The UK is competitive as heck, but we still have Villagers, Marths and Wii Fit Trainers. Little Mac is the insanely hard to find one. However Pit and Captain Falcon are quite common here. They're stocked in retailers and online with little to no effort to buy. However Kirby is slightly hard to find. If it wasn't for the EU to US packaging I'd happily trade with everyone else on GAF because we do have a lot of Pits, Villagers etc.

That being said, if anyone in Europe has a Wii Fit Trainer, PM me because I would happily trade one of my Little Macs for her.
(I know it should be in the Amiibo trading thread but that's not going to get checked as much)

I wonder if this really speaks to the issues from the west coast port strike or is more indicative of NoA being completely out of touch with the customers?

It seems like it's hit or miss. I saw a Diddy for the first too earlier this week at a Target. Before that it was just a sea of Peaches, Marios and Yoshis.

Haven't personally seen Little Mac in the DFW area, but my dad saw him waaay back in early December. He passed him up since I don't really care for the character. I'm not going to tell him how rare he is now though haha.

This is nothing new. Heck, look at comic books. One issue can be hundreds of dollars while the same issue with simply the words "Second Print" makes it super cheap. Same content, just different printing.

From the retail exclusive Amiibos, I'd easily say so. Don't take it the wrong way though, Amiibos are tough as hell to get in the UK though. It's not easy at all for the Holy Trinity and Mac. But I do think they're a little easier to obtain and since being in apart of the EU trading agreement, European sites will trade to other EU countries fairly easily.
I'm surprised how many people are importing to America though.

Got two more amiibos in, Pit and CF from Best Buy. Perfect condition. So out of the 15 or so I received through the mail so far, only 2 had damaged packaging. One from Amazon and one from Best Buy. I guess that's a pretty good ratio. Samus and Mario, both easy to replace right now should I feel I want to.

Seems to depend on a store by store basis in the UK. We're getting weird restocks, like one day a shit ton of Pikachu, Link or Peach will come in alongside 1 or 2 of others like Fox and Diddy, then we'll might go a week without anything, or we might get 1 random figure every 2-3 days. Absolutely no restocks of less popular characters though, it was literally 2 of each on the release day and nothing since for the likes of Luigi, Little Mac, Zelda, Pit, Villager, Little Mac and Marth.
