So, which out of the wave 3 Amiibos do you guys think are going to be the rare ones? Barring exclusives, anyways. Kinda wondering if I should order a second Ike and DeDeDe, just in case.
I can't decide if I'm willing to import some of these or not, haha. There are Japanese-version Wii Fit Trainers available right now on amazon for about $28. Really not bad at all considering that includes tax and shipping. And I know some people really care about having the NA boxes, but I actually think having a Japanese one is cooler, almost like a souvenir or something.
I just can't shake the feeling that paying more than retail price for any reason is a defeat. I'd be mad if Nintendo announces a new shipment coming for America in a couple weeks.

He should be fired for that. Totally against policy to bring that up. I'll assume that he is picking these up on his off time after work and not holding back inventory. But then he probably is. Not that I'm going to get a guy fired for it mind you. Gamestop is just another company to me and the guy's behavior is questionable, but I wouldn't want to be responsible for somebody losing their job unless they wronged me personally in some way or doing something illegal.
Best case he buys these from elsewhere and was just trying to hook you up which he shouldn't have done. Worst case he's being sleezy with inventory but who knows which is the case here.
Hopefully he'll be caught though if that is the case.

I know it's hard to predict, but do you guys think Nintendo would patch in outfits for anyone else outside of the ones now? I've only been buying the ones with MK unlocks.

As far as the JP market goes, it looks like the rare ones are:
- Villager
- Wii Fit Trainer
- Little Mac
- Captain Falcon
- Pit
So pretty much the same as the US. Though honestly I think a lot of that is from Japanese resellers and US importers. I would guess JP would have ample stock if the US had gotten ample stock

Well, I think it also has to do with compatibility with other games (the ones listed are only really used in Smash Bros.) and the future prospects of these characters (most don't have any big titles on the horizon).

Ike getting a downgrade in quality is unsurprising all things considered. At least Ike doesn't look as bad as Marth.

holy fuck that looks terrible. Hopes for Lucina and Robin return to being low. The first Ike looked so good, too. Wasn't fucked up looking like E3 Marth was.
Be prepared to camp out front of your local Toys R' Us or Target and hope for an extra one that the employees didn't steal... Or pay a scalper $100US per figure off Amazon or Ebay if you really must have a NA version.

Just got Marth and Villager in yesterday from Amazon.de and they look great. Villager's shoes a little meh- but no bent sword, no damaged packages, face looks fine. Marth is a little bit loose though inside his package.
Got an extra Pit now too thanks to TRU and their screwup. Couldn't even cancel my order since I have more coming in on that order for wave 3...I'm sure I can find a local fan since I'm not much of one to ship things.
