Uhhhhhh.....

Spoilers ahoy, by the way.
Looks like they're sticking with the comics as far as shipping goes.
Sorry, SnowBarry shippers.

They've said as much for Arrow as well and we've seen how much meandering they've done there. I don't doubt Barry ends up with Iris but on and off isn't out of the question.

The Deadline article I read had said they narrowed it down to Liam, Stephen, and one other and were about to fly them out to New Zealand to meet with the cast and production crew. Later that week they updated to say none of the three had gotten the part but they kept Liam out there while they released the other two. About two months later in January they announced Liam had gotten the part.

The bootcamps were in New Zealand weren't they?

I found later stories where Amell was the top contender of the three with Liam being unconsidered because he just didn't look strong enough. Than he did bootcamp, which helped him beat out Amell. I'm glad it happened like it did. Liam made a great Spartacus, Stephen is an awesome Arrow and I sure didn't care a fuck about Kili in The Hobbit.

Incest time! But nobody should be surprised by this. With how fast CW shows move these days, the relationship status could be completely different by season two. They had no problem shuffling things around for Felicity & Oliver, and she wasn't even planned to be part of the show for more than an episode.

I just started watching this show this week and holy shit it's way better than i expected (on episode six). I watched the first two seasons of Arrow a couple months ago and liked it for the most part , but the CW melodrama and more love triangles than i could count really dragged it down from greatness, as much as i love Slade. I kinda viewed it as a guilty pleasure.

Flash is so much better though. Better acting, less CW-ish, and only one love triangle which is actually reasonable. I'm not sure a live action super hero show could get much better than this. I'm really impressed. I really like the guy playing Barry too.

If that Teen Titans show turns out as good as this, I'll be ecstatic, since the cartoon was one of my favorites when i was younger.

I felt the same way.

Such a damn good show. Easily one of my top 10 shows of 2014.

I would argue that Iris and Barry isn't even that reasonable.
At least it's done now. Kind of.

It's not done, though, right? It's just become more complicated. Iris cried when Barry revealed his feelings, so there's strong emotion there, and now that she knows Barry loves her, she'll start to see him in a different light.

I would say it will be a slow burn on her doing that, but this show moves so fast a slow burn may be two episodes.

Also, are juniors allowed on the hype train?

I think the poster meant that 'Barry pining' is done for now. That entire episode was him realising he'd been a scared kid for years and needed to grow up. So it'll probably flip to Iris realising she has feelings for Barry, while he moves the fuck on and tries to live an adult life for a while.

That's the only acceptable way to do it imo, this show has easily 6-8 seasons in it.

amell would have been a garbage spartacus. So glad they chose Liam instead

Spartacus is such a hidden gem. I have no idea how I found the show, but man, the first 2 seasons were so awesome. I consider myself someone who enjoys the "finer" side of TV (Mad Men, Sopranos, Breaking Bad etc.) but Spartacus is still one of my favorite few seasons I've ever watched of a show. Make it through the first 4 episodes and you are in for a fucking treat. Awesome action, fun story and hottest topless women you will find in pretty much any show.

Really sucks the main guy died of cancer.

I would call Spartacus many things, but hidden isn't one of them this series was very popular when it was running

The finale had 1.42 million viewers. The highest it ever got was 1.72 million. It scored about as much viewers as Starcrossed. It was not very popular ratingwise.

Yeah I love arrow but flash knocked it out of the park since the pilot. So glad he already confessed to iris too. Honestly think as whimsical as this show can be it also has the better drama scenes thanks to gustin and the dude from law and order

That Rogues trailer is hype as fuuuuuuuuuuck. Can't wait for this to come back!

Speaking of hype, how much for a ticket on the HYPE TRAIN

That. Barry is finally done wishing Iris would notice him or whatever the fuck. But now Iris and Eddie will start having issues, Eddie will get an inferiority complex because of that and his defeat by Reverse Flash, find out Barry is The Flash, and, having lost any confidence will become bitter and a super villain.

I know it in my heart to be true.

Synopsis for the 01/27 episode is out:

“The Sound and the Fury” — (8:00-9:00 p.m. ET) (TV-PG, LV) (HDTV)
BROADWAY STAR ANDY MIENTUS GUEST STARS AS THE PIED PIPER — Dr. Wells’ (Tom Cavanagh) former protégée, Hartley Rathaway (guest star Andrew Mientus), returns to seek revenge on his mentor after being affected by the particle accelerator explosion. Now able to manipulate sound waves, the brilliant Rathaway is a dangerous threat to both Wells and The Flash (Grant Gustin). Meanwhile, Iris (Candice Patton) is thrilled when she’s hired by the Central City Picture News as their newest cub reporter. Unfortunately, her editor (guest star Tom Butler) pairs her with a veteran reporter, Mason Bridge (guest star Roger Howarth), who wants nothing to do with her. Cisco (Carlos Valdes) recalls his first day on the job at S.T.A.R. Labs when he met Hartley and Caitlin (Danielle Panabaker). Joe (Jesse L. Martin) asks Eddie (Rick Cosnett) for a favor but asks him to keep it a secret from Barry.
John Showalter directed the episode written by Alison Schapker & Brooke Eikmier (#111). Original airdate 1/27/2015.

Jesus, I really wish they'd stop using that particle accelerator as a crutch. Reminds me of Smallville and how every villain was a "meteor freak" because of kryptonite exposure.

Well, that's how superpowers were introduced into Flash land. I don't think we'll see them straying from that, at least not in the first season.

Maybe some more non-meta villains, but they'd have to have a gimmick (ala Captain Cold) or else Barry would just crush them.

The particle accelerator is around to stay for a while, but it's a good reason for metahumans to initially exist - until they start coming from other cities or outer space or wherever - and it keeps things personal to the characters and centered. But like Arrow's list it's really just a plot convenience. They're doing villain of the week a lot better than Smallville did.

If it's any consolation there's at least four upcoming non-meta villains:
Heat Wave, Golden Glider, Trickster 1 & 2.
Plus any people who'll crossover from Arrow.

Maybe some more non-meta villains, but they'd have to have a gimmick (ala Captain Cold) or else Barry would just crush them.

It's The Flash. They're going to have to write entertaining stories where Barry steamrolls the villains because that's half of what he does anyway.

They're doing villain of the week a lot better than Smallville did.

The big difference is that the villain(s) of the week in The Flash are actual Flash villains, whereas in Smallville the villains had powers that were some sort of manifestation of their social or psychological issues. I'm way more excited to see the Rogues than some kid who just happens to control insects.(I'm going off memory for that one, so I might be wrong.)

To be fair when Smallville used actual superman villains it wasn't that much better =P

With the exception of Lex and MAYBE Brainiac

I watched the first few episodes of this and gave up. Is this show reals, or are you guys just crazy?
