I don't think that's it at all. The Smash codes went out in NA and EU on the same day and the servers held up just fine. Let's face it, most of the people that get MH codes won't even download the demo anyway.

Once you figure out what you're doing try out the other mode. The full game doesn;t have a beginner mode.
