Funnily enough I just received my Fox from Fry's I ordered back in December. Received it today. It's my second Fox. They did a good job with packaging I must say.

Ok, just got my last Amiibo until Wave 3. I want to give a shout out to NeoGAFer Nathan_Drake for hooking me up with Captain Falcon! Looks nice on the Nintendo Shrine.

Is there anyone who ordered from B&H , receive a refund with no order cancellation? Mine is still on order, so I'm just wondering if it was just to validate my payment.

Do you actually live in Australia, Benzychenz? I'm so tempted to pre-order mine from EB Games Australia as well and just pay extra for the benefit of not having to have every day filled with F5 anxiety waiting for North American pre-orders. :(

It seems like they don't ship to anywhere outside Australia, though...

Grain of salt, but Nintendo World might be taking Wave 4 / Mario preorders. I called yesterday and they told me they were taking preorders starting today for everything announced during the ND that had a release window (be it actual date or month).

Store exclusives in the states isn't uncommon. When I was buying Skylanders for my kids during the first game Target had an exclusive (Whirlwind?) that never reached Canada until much later that year.

Actually those Whirlwinds made it to Toys R Us in Canada. I was working there at the time.

I bought them all and sold them for $50-60 each. That was a great 2 weeks of selling.
 
Is there truth to the rumor of little mac being discontinued in general?

here in Germany I can get Marths, Villagers and WTFs whenever I want, don't even have to look very hard but little mac....I have only seen one in my city, ever.

other than that I saw 3 little macs in a sea of links and marios in the biggest store in the country

that's the only amiibo I couldn't get if someone wanted me too.

Well we got them in randomly one day after I heard they were released in US. No target sticker on them. We did get them later though since it's in Canada.

I think it was available everywhere after Christmas anyway here

If I still worked there I certainly would. The company is shit and treats employees like shit. I wouldn't feel bad at all and wouldn't have hours anyways so making extra money would be great.

I don't even go to TRU anymore, hope Lucario is in stock online. I'd rather not go to a store.
 
Out of the next bunch that's coming out in Europe, you can't pre-order Rosalina anymore. It is the only one sold out at amazon.de

and little Mac goes for 35 fucking euros there.... the most expensive of the available amiibos so far in the german catalogue.

who would have thunk.
 
This might be a good thing that preorders haven't gone up. It's just a loose guess but perhaps Nintendo is trying to gear up the production lines and make sure they have a larger amount of amiibo for Wave 4 preorders. And with that they could possibly be holding off on allowing stores to preorder until they have enough to start the wave off with.

It's unlikely but my optimistic take on what's going on with the silence

They weren't taking preorders today for any new amiibo aside from the Mario Party 10 bundle with Mario.
 
Gah. I now kind of want to start collecting these things, but now Wave 3's already gone. All I wanted going in was Captain Falcon, too, and I haven't even seen any of those. Why does Nintendo have to be so awful about supplying stuff?

I'd rather have them pre-ordered at this point, but i'm bummed the normal release is happening on my move day. I will be moving from NY to PA likely on 2/1, and well i'll be in a far bigger city, i don't think that's necessarily a good thing.

Edit: I should mention that is Wave 3. But if the pre-orders go up around that time, i'll be really busy with the move at that point to be focused on online pre-orders

Though Fox stands a chance of being restocked since he works on more than 1 major Nintendo game.

New Zealand here, already had 2 sets of Wave 3 preorders (just in case) and just got Wave 4 and the Mario set preordered too. Now I can relax.

HUGE grain of salt here, but I just got off the phone with Nintendo Corporate as I had some questions about the MM new 3DS (that went nowhere).

But before I hung up I asked when preorders might start for the wave 4 amiibo. He didn't know when preorders would start but he said they release in MARCH. I clarified it was the wave just announced with Robin and Ness, and he said yes, those will be out in March in the states. If true, I don't get as long a rest from the hunt as I thought...

I'm guessing there'll be a wave every month/every other month for the rest of the year. No rest for Amiibo hunting.

Must be talking about the Mario ones and was extremely confused. Smash Wave 4 launch in late April in Japan and Europe, no way we are getting it a month before the main Nintendo branches.

They likely are confusing it with the Super Mario series which is confirmed for the 20th.

If so then we get it earlier than EU and Australia and such? Hasn't happened yet.
