Fighting Games Weekly | Jan 19-25 | As Seen On WSHH

I think it's very likely Namco will bring a couple Tekken 7 cabinets for EVO and there will probably be a T7 side tournament for everyone that goes to EVO to enter. Might even get streamed but there would be no point since there'd be VASTLY superior Korean and Japanese videos on the web.
Ayy lmao

Why is Armada changing?

He brought out the Fox at the last big tournament and did really well where his Peach could not. He asked his followers on twitter if he should focus on Fox from now on... of course, the overwhelming response was "HELL NO, please stick with Peach" but it's obviously on the dude's mind.

Persona was probably a bigger surprise than Tekken 7 was to me.. Those blazblue finals last year were out of hand.

Tekken 7, USF4, GGXrd, MKX, Smash 4 for Sunday seems likely, especially if they're trying to not "double up" anime/capcom/American/Smash.

Man everyone's predictions got decimated

This is great

Harada da gawd

Seriously. This year's EVO might manage to be even better than last year's.

I don't know why people didn't think Melee would be back with Smash 4. Melee numbers are too high.

I imagine they will wait for Tournament numbers before they make the schedule. The last day should be the finals for the games with the most amount of entrants. That's what they did for 2014 and the games on the last day were crazy hype.

The salt for Friday/Saturday finals is coming.

I'm all for it, like Wizard/Chen mentioned, I think it's cool that on those days you can take some time aside to check out a game that isn't necessarily one that has to be on Sunday because of entrant numbers and get a look at a slice of competition from other games.

Most of it was because of KOF last year. Some felt like it was entitled to a sunday spot.

one day tournaments sometimes work towards the players' advantage because if they're on their game, they play the entire tournament that way.

Persona will prob be one of the friday games, but that's okay. It's a surprise that it's even there.
