I guess reflecting doesn't help if you're actually trying to contest the recovery... but at the very least it doesn't seem like fox should take damage from a predictable projectile from all the way across the stage.

well amsa is good at controlling the eggs, so he'll mixup the arcs, or pound into ledge

i would think he wants to recover while his opponent is at least a little bit further away from him on the ledge. that way he minimizes his opponents leverage against him

Only if the opponent CPs to a stage that the winner feels they are uncomfortable with their character then loser can CP character if they want. In other words,winner can ban stage (in Best of 3s, in best of 5s there's no bans), loser CPs stage, winner can switch character, loser can switch character.
