Amiibo Thread 3 | Where release dates are made up and preorders don't matter!

Anyone had luck with target holding amiibos? Found one rosalina about 2 hours north of me but dont wanna head that way for nothing. Says not eligible for store pickup.
 
Amiibos are starting to mess with my sleep schedule. I had to get up early to go and grab a Rosalina. They were gone in seconds so I am lucky to have one! I ended up passing out around 4 yesterday and woke up at 11 a.m. Oh my god.
 
Well all I got both a shipping notification for one order and a delay on a second order from TRU today. 1 of my Lucario shipped the second has a delay... :/.

Seems like it's been rather inconsistent from store to store, not that I'm surprised. Mine didn't have a hard limit, but everyone was being fair and only getting one or two.
 
So Yolanda, the store manager at TRU that treat me really professionally when I went for toon link and made my preorder for european wave 3.5, and told me she was going to move heaven and earth to find me a bring me another Rosalina from another TRU, just called me right now to tell me it was Mission Accomplished!
She was calling since 7am all the TRU that had Rosalinas on transit.

That woman is really amazing. Now I have no doubt she will get me everything I preorder there.
Hunting is hopefully no more for me!
I also cancelled the ebay Rosalina I was going to buy for 37 euros from a scalper.
Im so happy right now!
 
My Lucario shipped status hasn't come yet, but it at least says "Located in stock."

If you bought on eBay, you should have got an email from them in late December. If you reply to it, they'll respond quickly.

I email them yesterday and got a response that eBay orders should go out this week.
 
Ok, I ordered 2 Shulks at Gamestop months ago with in-store pickup. I went in a week ago and paid them off entirely in the store I am picking them up from, but today when I went to check my order history, both orders are "closed". The totals still say $14.04 each as opposed to $0.00, like any other order I've had cancelled from them. Anyone else have this happen? Any idea what it means...?

I think Gamestop calls an order "closed" when they have considered the transaction done - maybe they sent them to the store for in-store and when the store checked the inventory in the status goes to "closed"? I would definitely follow up, and soon, wouldn't want a mixup to happen and someone else get your Amiibo...

edit: Just checked mine on GS.com and it is also "closed". At first I thought you were talking about a Shiek Amiibo so that is why I was thinking it would make sense it had shipped. But Shulk isn't scheduled until the 13th I think. Still no idea why it is "closed' so I tried calling Customer Support. Took too long before I got to a rep, and I had to leave for work - but I will try and find out more details later on in the day. Marking my order "closed" is really nerve-wracking.
 
Ok one of my Lucario / Sheik orders from TRU shipped (the one I did right after the cancellation). The order I used the coupon codes for still hasn't shipped. You would think they would have shipped the coupon code ones first.

This what I was told in 2 different live chat sessions.
I had 2 orders feom tru.com and 1 shipped one second one for Lucario was delayed. Personally as even that order was days before the ebay thing if it does'nt ship and the ebay orders do ill be a little miffed.
 
There's supposedly Sheik in stock at a target an hour away. No one's picking up the phone though. Think it's worth it to go that far? I'm thinking she'll wind up like Diddy,more common if I wait a month or so.

Heh just the opposite here I had an order with the coupon code ship and the one without did not.
 
Man, that's nuts if Rosies don't get re-stocked. One would have to assume the same for the other retailer exclusives too. At least that's how I'm approaching the situation and if restocks occur or they become easy to acquire, all the better.

Up to you but based on what's been happening I wouldn't count on it. Everyone who reported in said Target only received 4 Sheiks per store. Your particular location may have gotten more but I would be floored if they weren't all bought on 2/1. Try to get someone on the phone
 
My Rosalina just shipped, too -- it's ridiculous that they're not restocking it. It terrible that they acknowledge the problem of scalpers then create specific situations to enable them.

Geedorah addressed it, but I don't think you need to worry. I had that happen with the Pit amiibo in December and i didn't have any problem picking him up when the store actually got it. It won't hurt to check.
 
My Paypal Toys R Us order that was supposedly cancelled just shipped at full price, but I'm getting a delay on the reorders for $10.99 (and Sheik and Lucario were in both of them). Has this happened to anyone else?
 
So after 10 days of waiting... he finally came today.

Asking again due to fast thread. Anyone manage to snag an extra Rosalina they are willing to ship and sell in the US? My closest Target is an hour away and by the time I could get there she was gone.
 
Are you guys getting confirmation emails saying your Rosalina has shipped? I have nothing so far, although I have a delivery estimate for her between this Wednesday and next week Monday.

I haven't received one yet. My order is still showing just like yours, with the delivery being between Wednesday and next Monday.
