UPS dropped off my Sheik & Bowser from Best Buy today - they both look great! 
Looks like Toon Link was supposed to be delivered today too but got delayed due to the snowstorm. Oh well, he should show up sometime this week.
Speaking of snow, I just spent the last ~3 hours shoveling nearly 2 feet of it out my driveway so now, if you'll excuse me, I need to go collapse from exhaustion! haha

So an Ike can be shipped for $26 with free AMAZON Prime shipping. It's the Japanese version, though. What do you guys think?

In other news, someone on reddit was able to buy Megaman, Sonic, King Dedede and Toon Link at Toys R' Us in Winnipeg (Canada). Also in stock was Lucario, Ike, Rosalina and Luma, Bowser and Sheik.
At this rate, I'd assume they'll continue making their way east by the end of the week. However I'm not sure if that shipment is the only one or one of a few.
It's Nintendo, let's assume the former.

Went to Gamestop to see about the Closed order thing for my Shulk I ordered online for in store pick up. The guy didn't even know you could order stuff like that, but my preorder was in the system and he said I could pay it off, so I did. He said they had received a memo saying they'd be getting wave 3 at random times and that they'd call when I can pick up my Shulk.

Also, yeahhh. I just don't get it. It's weird to know some TRU in NA DO in fact have Mega Man, Dedede and Sonic in stock. And yet, the rest of the world has Mega Man and Sonic pushed way the hell back to Feb 20th.
So it's like, how did THAT TRU magically get it 3 weeks early. Like wat.
It was going to go to the U.S., but it's all being sent up to you guys instead. It makes sense.

If you were talking about me (missed your original post), I got 1 Rosalina per store. Went to 1 target, bought 1. Went to another Target, bought 1. Then got the other 3 on target.com
Maybe it was bad on me to order 3 on target.com, because that is some that someone else could get. But I followed all the rules. I also give away all my extras for free to people that couldn't get one. Although I can see why it would be problematic getting extras, as it deprives others from getting one. In the case of Rosie, I only got 1 per store (so anyone else in line was able to get one). Target.com had them for sale for 40 min straight. I would never ever ever buy a bunch in store. I always do 1 per, unless it's a random store that just happens to have a bunch in stock, and no one is lined up. But at most, I'll only get 2 at a time.
Just my thoughts. If I'm a super shitty for person though for that, my bad.

Looks like I will be at my local EB Games at 9:00am tomorrow for when they open at 9:30am to pre-order the Super Mario series!
Seems like there are no Toon Links in Central Florida. Best Buy told me a store in Daytona Beach has some available. Not sure if anyone lives around there but worth checking out if you're looking for him.
I did nab a Bowser though and he looks amazing. Having the hardest time trying to think a name for him for Smash.

Most or all retailers seem to be getting 4x Sheik per store. That's about it so far but they should be getting another shipment because she had two production runs. Target and TRU probably sold all their Sheiks but BB I haven't heard anyone finding her in store yet. People who preordered her online have had their orders ship which could indicate Sheik being available in store already or soon. I don't know if best buy gave her a release date, but I would have guessed it would have been 2/1. You should call or check the in store pick up option to check stock. Ask if they even ever got Sheik yet.
I'm really surprised to keep hearing Toon Link is so rare. When I went to buy Bowser a week ago (it's when TRU decided to sell things early on the 22nd or whatever), my store had a bunch of Bowser and Toon Link. But had zero Sheik.
But it seems that Toon Link was also really under-supplied. I do know that Sheik is def hard to get. The supply for her was abysmal.

Well, I did it, I ordered from Nin-Nin, thankfully without a hitch from PayPal. Really hoping there are no issues that require me to deal with CS. So now, this:
is one step closer to reality! With any luck, I'll have 'em all by the end of the month, so I can send 'em out on commission, then hopefully have them back by mid-to-late March.
Can't wait for this! Sucks I had to pay more than normal, but at this point, I'm just glad that I (hopefully) definitely have them coming to me.
Now I need to look into who to commission with. Anyone have any good ideas? I saw some posts on tumblr and reddit, but if anyone could recommend someone from experience, that'd be great.

My fiance just came in dancing with them. Hhaa. We both agree that Dedede might be the best Amiibo to date (the quality is insane). Meta Knight too. Wow.
Looks awesome. You're right about DDD's quality. Very excited to get the rest of my wave 3s.

It is a moral gray area since on the positive, not in the hands of a scalper, on the other a person who may actually want it may not get a chance.
I am conflicted to cancel my 3DS XL orders or to resell them at a fair price to people who really want it.
Yeah, he's really weighty when in your hand. And the amount of detail on his textures is amazing. I was really surprised at the quality of his amiibo.
Eh. I won't buy extras anymore for anyone then. That's fine. It's extra money I don't need to spend. I only need ONE for myself (as I open it for my display). Don't care about making money. Don't care about having extras. So if people want to get into morals/ethics and say I'm as bad as a scalper for following the rules, then okay. I just won't buy extras anymore. Cool with me.
But like I said, I've never gotten more than 1 per store, and Rosie was on sale for 40 min straight on Target.com and they set the limit to 3. But I can take the punches. I apologize for doing something awful by buying 3 for people on GAF. Oops. won't do it again. I would still like to think though, me doing what I did is a far cry away from someone going to a store and buying all 30, cutting out everyone in line, and then turning around flipping them for money.
It seems that, there is no nuance/inbetween here and what I did was just as bad as that. I guess. lol

I know I didn't read it for only 16 hours and then I was behind over 30 pages. Almost caught up now.
Rosie is gone and supposedly gone for good. No more going to be made or sold at target.

He isn't perfect. Mine had several blemishes and paint issues.
Build quality left much to be desired.
That reminds me: My Shulk has some black marks (probably paint) on his jacket. Gonna fix that up once it's time for me to take him out.
Mine had no blemishes. That sucks.
I have all of Wave 3 right now except Shulk/Sonic and Mega Man. IMO Dedede had the best quality so far (in terms of the actual textures and the heft). But eh. Sorry to hear about blemishes.
At least it's not a herp derp face marth or shulk.
It's a shame but I'm sure I'll find him somewhere.
I'd be surprised to find a Sheik anywhere. Any associate I've talked to basically told me to keep dreaming on finding one (not really looking for her).

On the info we have gotten signs point to bowser and Link to be restocked. Looks like sheik won't be though.
I think it's fine to buy more than one if your helping out the community or a friend. I'm not going to lie, I buy 2 or 3 of each to help out people who I feel are worthy contributors to our NeoGaf amiibo comunity. I do feel it sleazy to buy 5 Rosalinas and flip them on craigslist but that's just my opinion.
And yet Sheik already had terrible stock. Crazy shit.
lol just going to stop buying extras tbh. Not worth the hassle. Last thing I want is to waste money and time to help others, only to be branded as bad as a scalper. Fuck that.
Soooo close. I can almost taste it. Gunning for the exclusives, Ike, DDD, Shiek and MegaMan first. Toon Link's going to be a Diddy scenario, I feel, as is Sonic.

So the thirst is going to be real for her then. Just give it a month or two when people realize they could never get her. Maybe she will get a spot in the new Holy Trinity next to Shulk.

I want Megaman and Sonic, then my amiibo craze is curbed until Pacman.
