Amiibo Thread 3 | Where release dates are made up and preorders don't matter!

So I'm flying back home to Los Angeles tomorrow, and I'm wondering if I'm being stupidly paranoid for thinking of keeping my Rosalina amiibo with me in my carry-on luggage instead of just packing her into my checked luggage along with Bowser. I know TSA employees go through luggage all the time (they went through mine on the way here) and that they can't necessarily be trusted... am I being silly?
That's what I thought. I figured it was just him being wrong. He said he's a "big Mega Man fan and was sad he wasn't able to set one aside for himself," though, so I wasn't sure. What's really odd is that there was a product sticker for "Amiibo - Mega Man" in the amiibo area at that Target (with no figures there, of course), like they actually did have some at one point. They couldn't have, though!
Ah, I didn't think of that. I could see an employee who doesn't know any better confusing Little Mac and Mega Man.
I hope in any at you don't think the tsa would take your 12.99 toy

Also... I finally opened up my Rosalina amiibo. Here are pictures of it!
I don't know... something looks a bit off about it. I mean the lighting isn't that great but still...

Hope mine looks better than that. Ugh I still need Toad & Bowser ordered for Mario Party 10 amiibo. Where the heck is Wave 4!

Ok. So anyone else getting the New 3ds. Because I am. I already have a 3ds I'm just going to trade it in and get the new for a couple of reasons. Number one being. I freaking busy as hell right now. And with the new 3ds I can use my amiibos with out turning on my tv and waiting about ( I'm exaggerating ) 5 mins for everything to load on my wii u. Dont get me wrong I use it. Just not during the week days. I play smash for about 10 mins and head to bed during the week. With the new 3ds I can play with my amiibos with out long as wait times. Woot!

Here's the real thing. I think I did a pretty good job opening it up this time. No damage to the cardboard as far as I can tell.
Last time I tried cutting a bottom flap and pulling it out from the bottom. Didn't work so well. So this time I used this method https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6PxhbQdbG0w

And if a Xenoblade themed one should come out by some chance I'm getting that. Dangit Nintendo... you make me hate you for your problems with supply but I can't stop loving your merch.

I don't think it's that outlandish a thought. I've heard of things in people's luggage mysteriously going missing after TSA inspections quite often, and scalpers are everywhere. The $12.99 price tag has nothing to do with it; it's all about the resell value.
That said, you're right. It's probably fine.

Haha well I bought the display a year ago. And the Amiibo have been going on the credit card. Should be able to pay them all off but I wish I would have just waited on the commons so I couldve used that for an actual Wii U! Haha. Maybe next month...

I use the same method basically. I tried using a blow dryer to get the plastic off at first, but that didn't do anything whosoever. I'm pretty anal about opening anything and everything so I take my sweet time, I have to open the packaging perfectly.
I have all my empty Amiibo boxes stored nicely in two boxes.

Nice. Yeah the first time I was experimenting since it was the Link amiibo. Didn't want to find out the hard way when opening Rosalina (especially since she's my most favorite Nintendo character) what not to do. So this time I'm more satisfied and will be opening it this way from now on.

goodluck guys. What I did when it went up for the USA was play smash bros online while I refreshed. Each match lasted 2 minutes and when it was done I hit F5. Nowinstock is not as good as you being on the trigger. It was fun and easy.

Do I get the first Dedede/Shulk/Ike that I can find or do I wait it out for either Mega Man or Meta Knight? This is a bonus Amiibo and not one that I was 100% wanted to get but I think I want Mega Man the most, followed by Meta Knight, but lol MK. Would be happy with any of them so I should just get the first one I see lol. Won't have more money until March so who knows if Mega Man will be anywhere. (I know if I don't get day one, then I'm already fucked on MK.) What will I choose? Find out in the next exciting episode of: Just stop thinking already!
