people love these guys, they're just a bunch of bitter assholes.

well you do have to feel for earl because when you take PEDs and then get tested for HGH the week of the superbowl you can only hope the masking agents do their job. just more undue stress for earl!

any audio for this or timestamp when its mentioned during the podcast? lol

I must say, I am not really that surprised. Your talking about a team (not all of them, I like Wilson a lot) who are total douches. Grabbing their junk or shitting a football after a touchdown. Or better yet starting a brawl at the end of the Super Bowl with 20 seconds left. Irvin being the first player ever ejected from a Super Bowl. What a bunch of punks.

Could you IMAGINE the uproar if it were any Patriot players who did that?

Made an edit after, it was Michael Bennet who said this, not Earl Thomas... My bad!

Also, Hanzus tells the story most of the way through the podcast, I'd say at like minute 30:00 or so, when they start talking about the post game interviews. He teases it at the beginning and then tells it. I'll get the exact timestamp when I get my phone.

Dan ends up saying a second later "so, the fact is, he's a two faced asshole." They bleep out asshole, it's great.

I'm not sure if it's because I'm high, but Vereen really reminds me of Kevin Faulk. That one handed catch to start the drive was insane, and he made that look easy. So damn clutch. Brady looked like old Brady on the last two drives. Stood tall, and delivered strikes. I think those two drives were the best of his career. Just insane how good he was.

Everyone was fighting for extra yards on those last two drives. They wanted it.

Butler was so sick on that interception. Can't believe how fast he moves. You can see on some replays he was moving before the WR started his break. All this talk about bad calls hides what an amazing play that was. Not sure if any of the other Pats players have the ball skills to make that one.

The crazy thing hearing about the play after the game was how they had practiced that play and Bulter was burned, and right before the play Browner reminds Butler that he got burned in practice on the same play. The awareness/preparation before that play is insane. I think I read in an analysis of the play the Seahawks only ran that play three times all season. Just so amazing.
I've never watched a second of the last 2 SB's on purpose. This one's not leaving my DVR for a while.

I rewatched the 07 one some time last year. It is not for the faint of heart. So so many missed opportunities.

And Bill canceled the final walk thru so the guys wouldn't overthink everything. It all just came together.

Just finished watching it without all the stress and heart pounding. Wow I don't like that Seattle team. Wilson is great though.
I'm not sure why the replay wasn't full widescreen. Weird.

Going to watch/listen to it while watering plants and doing dishes.

I wonder if the radio broadcast of it is available anywhere. Would be fun to share with some friends overseas.

If the Patriots still had Gino. Went from one of the best to absolute trash.

These reactions are so funny. I feel for the Seahawks even though I'm a Pats fan. It's an awful way to lose a game (great way to win a game), but I can't help but laugh watching the reactions. I don't know what it is, but I lose it for a moment watching them. The more I watch them the funnier they get, too.

The Pete Carrol one is really funny to me but for some reason I don't feel great looking at the Sherman one, it looks like he's legitimately about to cry.

Being a 49ers fan, I've caught nothing but shit from Seahawk fans since our super bowl.

I've been relishing in this.

Petty yes, do I care, no

How is gronkowski not a cartoon character? He is the goofiest looking guy in the NFL.

aint nothin' goofy about gronk gettin' down!

Because of the nfl network overlay/ticker at the bottom.

I liked Welker, but when you drop balls in potential game winning SB drives...

Come on son

And Butler is the Samuel we deserved. Holds onto his picks in crucial moments.

actually browner on the near pick in the end zone gave me flashes of Samuel.

Pretty surprised they are doing the parade today. City is still basically a mess. A normally 20-25 minute bus commute took me about 90 minutes today.

Yeah I think I'll pass since its cold x awful commute x probably no parking
At least I can see on tv

If I were a patriot I'd immediately leave after the parade, more snow incoming

Brady going to Brazil asap

Goddamn I'm on the pike around Rt 30 going east at ~9:25 this morning, and this guy in a minivan is FREAKING OUT because of the traffic. He's got a pats jersey on and has a van filled with people in it and he's losing it because the traffic was backing up to rt 30... Then he drives by and he's got NJ plates. Felt bad for him if he came up from New Jersey today, and he's at Rt 30 at 9:25... He'll be like 10 miles from the parade, but an hour away.

Will there be a place to watch the parade online after work?

Yeah, I'm sure every local TV station will carry it on their website... BostonChannel.com, Boston.com, or just google whatever NBC, Fox 25, etc.'s websites. NECN will probably have the whole thing too.

As good as Welker was, Edelman turned out to be an upgrade.

I also love his goofy Smoothie ads on youtube.

What deadspin broke this morning is pretty awesome:

http://deadspin.com/tinder-girls-icebreaker-just-fucked-edelman-no-lie-1683702726

Girl's Tinder account leads with "I just fucked edelman no lie" and she looks like a dime from the photo.

Julian is a weird dude. The tshirts on his website are evidence of that enough. And his weird "Burger Tyme" stuff ... I ... just don't get it.

Well depends when you get off work. It'll be covered live locally, I'm sure, as well as recapped. I'm not sure if they are doing speeches/a rally at City Hall Plaza this time though. I hope so.

No rally at Gov't Center this year. Called off due to the snow issues yesterday, presents a safety hazard. So they're just going to have a rolling rally.

I was at the rally in 2002 after the first Super Bowl. Skipped school that day and rode the green line in. Haven't gone to one since and, well, I'm sitting at my desk right now so I won't be at this one either.

Ha, me too. Also skipped school for 2002. I think they skipped the rally at either the Sox or Bruins most recent parade too, so I don't think it's strictly a weather thing. i went to the Bruins one, which was a Saturday, but I'm not too upset about missing it.

Just surprised they're doing it. The T is seemingly held together by duct tape at this moment.
