Just wait man, not worth spending so much for an Amiibo that will most likely be well stocked (Was pretty easy to get one launch day in Aus)

It is too much, but I can kinda justify it off the fact that he's the reason I'm into gaming in general.
I haven't given trading a shot but that might not be too bad of an idea, I don't have too many rares outside my Villager and Wii Fit Trainer. Do we consider Rosalina rare now? hahaha

Dude, I completely agree about Mega Man. Easily one of, if not my favorite gaming icons, which inspired me to do this:

If I wasn't nuts about him, I would never dream of doing that! But, it's too much money, I have to say. Those are good trade candidates, and I think it might work out for you.

Hope it works out for me and my extra Rosalinas, Fox, and Yoshi! Anyone interested in trading with us?

Yeah, I missed him at the local TRU today so I think that is it for my chances at him. BestBuy here never received Wave 2 at all, Gamestop and EB both told me they only have enough to fulfill some pre-orders, Target is now dead and FutureShop just closed up shop.

I was going to bite for that price, unhappily, until I noticed the bonus charges on this:

Instead of a region thread we should have a buy-trade-sell thread. Although I totally get us Canadians needing a thread, we were ruining the deals thread more than shipping talk ever has.

Haha actually I'm done...thankfully. I'll probably pick up a Ganondorf and maybe a Pikachu or Donkey Kong if they ever reach clearance prices.

It doesn't seem like you're spending that much money when you're doing it in small amounts, at different retailers.

I have an extra Shiek, Bowser, Toon Link and am still on the hunt for a Lucario. I was the guy in line that was right after the guy that got the last one :(

That's how they get you! It's so easy to drop $15 here and there, for myself, too.
 
Real talk, don't buy an Amiibo for over $40 (I would actually say $30). I know I've said to not buy from scalpers at all but I know that people have different opinions and some really do like a certain character enough to want to pay for it but seriously, set a limit price you have to stay under on a per Amiibo basis. Over $40 is pushing into figma/nendoroid territory which are better quality and more bang for your buck compared to an Amiibo that has a manufacturing sell price of like $12.99 and with more questionable design quality.

See, that kinda thought process of adding up the total amount over time never really occurs to me because, if it's something I really like and want, I've already budgeted for it and have no regrets. I never think of it with movies and games, why would I start with amiibos?

So you're telling me if there was only 1 Lucina available in your entire country, you wouldn't pay over $40?

Little Mac and Ness don't have other options for figures (besides the ones that come in those Japanese vending machines) and I'll pay whatever it takes to get one.

Well said there. I heartily agree. The most I paid was close to $40 for Marth from Amazon.de, and that was only because it was from a 3rd party in Italy and had its own separate shipping. Of course, it was right before Nintendo announced the Marth reissue though...fun times.

Meh it was more out of curiosity. I'm not hurting for cash so I don't have any regrets.

I'd stick with her figma.

And I suppose if money isn't an issue, more power to you. I completely understand if the character has no other form of representation.

Just offering a suggestion to reflect before someone plonks down $100 for one Amiibo.
 
Canadian GAF: Rosalina for a Mega Man trade, if you can get one! How about it? Not sure how pricey shipping would be, but we can sort that out later!

I won't be surprised if that reprint is just as limited as the first run.

I would but I only have 1 of everything, would be strange to buy 2 villagers online(the other as I don't have 1 yet), just to have a spare in hopes for a trade...might have to though
