Amiibo Thread 3 | Where release dates are made up and preorders don't matter!

Yeah, I love Mega Man so much, and I think this'd be a fantastic way to represent him in my amiibo collection. I've already said before, and I'll gladly say it again:

When this project is finally complete, wonderful, colorful pictures will follow for all to see. It's gonna be spectacular.

I'll also PM you when it's done so you can see, too, in case you miss me posting it. That won't be until (hopefully) mid to late March, but I'll be in touch.

Also, I see you said you're new to posting here? Welcome to the thread! Hope ya like it here, everyone's pretty awesome!

Welp ended up with an extra Toad preorder. My first order I set for in store pick up and I realized I didn't want that, so I placed another order to be shipped and was going to cancel the first one, but it doesn't give me the option. I assume I have to cancel in store? I'd really like to cancel since I have an amazon preorder already and I don't need 3 Toads. lol
 
So is it pretty much accepted that we are getting Wave 3 Amiibos for Gamestop on the 13th? Any other stores I need to hit up before than to screw out the scalpers?

At the end of the day, they only control supply, not demand.

If the thing sells out on all pre-orders before 30 minutes are up and NoA doesn't adjust the supply (...do we really believe they will?), it will be rare.

You don't technically have to cancel in store. You can just not pick it up.

I just want the Smash line to be over.

Nintendo will likely then move on to having Amiibo releases to line up with game releases (like the Mario Series with Mario Party) and we are looking at a series with 12 max.

Smash was a great one to start with as it has so many damn characters to get people interested in Amiibos no matter their fan favourite but it can't go on like this forever.

You should keep 'em for trades down the line, I'd say.

I really hope they release figures for Hyrule Warriors and Mario Kart 8.

I didn't take it as rude. Everyone is frustrated with this shit. It sucks that every retailer is having issues and can't even guarantee preorders they sell weeks or months ago.

Doubtful.

The next Zelda line will be for the new Wii U game coming out later this year.

Expect a Star Fox, Splatoon and Zelda series this year. Those are the 3 big games they are releasing this year.

I don't want any more figures post Smash unless they do something significant. Right now I'm collecting this set mostly on the novelty of many of these characters not having affordable or matching figurines and being a big Smash fan. Their in game functions are laughable compared to DI and Skylanders.

I thought about just sticking to the Smash Bros for now so that's my thought process but I'm sure I'll kick myself later xP
 
I really don't understand why Nintendo would make Mario exclusive to the MP10 bundle then have these two variants

It has to be for rewards or a giveaway or something.

I want a Fire Emblem Awakening line, just cause I want a Tiki, Olivia and Tharja Amiibo...I don't even care if they work for the new game lol.

The way you are passionate about Mega Man is how I feel about Lucina. It's hard sometimes being a female gamer and not having a lot of characters you can relate to. I know gender isn't always important. Like I love Mega Man he's so iconic. But i was already a fan of FE and I just love her design. She's so kick ass. She's my favorite character ever on Smash.

Sorry for rambling. I just smile when I see someone have that much love for a character in a game because it reminds me of how I feel. I can't wait for your project to finish. I think
I'm going to do the same thing with Lucina now and do all 7 palette. Do you have any sites you can recommend that do custom Amiibo painting?

While driving to class, I just realized my mail came around your post and USPS left my textbook at my door. Looking back it's been a while since they've used the box. Not sure if too lazy or they just figured one goes in box and others go at door cause I'm sure this textbook should fit in the box.

That's weird. It's been the opposite for me. It's been a really long time since I've gotten anything left on my door from USPS. Usually it's only huge boxes that they leave on my doorstep since they can't fit those in the package box, but I rarely get any of those.

I'm just not sure how they're gonna use Amiibo for these games.

Current Amiibo would work fine with Splatoon by unlocking costumes, weapons and things like that though.
