Amiibo Thread 3 | Where release dates are made up and preorders don't matter!

I prefer the amiibos to only unlock cosmetic things, costumes, and the like, locking playable characters under a figurine doesn't seem right..
 
I'm 1/2 expecting Star Fox to have special skins for the Arwings & such like Ace Combat does. Would be amazing if Splatoon had it so you could unlock special weapons or costumes based on different characters (I want my damn FLUDD weapon for scanning Mario or paintbrush for scanning Bowser Jr.)

There was a Target memo floating around a few days ago that said they were going to be available online only. I'm not sure if that turned out to be just a rumor or not.

It does. Every single game Nintendo puts out now needs to support amiibo in as good of a way. Even more, it needs to support all of them when possible.

I don't think there's any excuse that Mario Party 10 doesn't allow you to use any and all amiibo as playable characters.

That would be amazing! Maybe amiibos as the classic versions of characters? Classic mario model, link, maybe sonic etc?
 
My girlfriend has made an account and is now awaiting authorization while she stalks this thread.
What have amiibo done to my life.
In other news I'm still looking for that one character I can't mention here that is really feeling it as well as Mega Man.

In other news the awesome guy I met on Destiny that also collects amiibo sent me a package from Gamestop and it arrived today! I won't be able to open it till tomorrow night most likely but I'm excited as it may or may not be Pit.
 
This whole time I've been thinking about how effin' stupid amiibo are then today I thought "well shit maybe I'll just pick up Kirby because he's my fave" and then "well maybe I'll just constrain myself to Kirby and Friends" and now I've spent way more than MSRP on some damn toys.

They got me.

I agree.

However I wouldn't mind a free-to-play Nintendo MOBA where you could unlock characters by scanning your Amiibo or just by buying each character separately. Would be kinda cool I think.
 
I started with one the other day, now I've ordered/bought 7 more... fuck my life, and Nintendo for making me throw money at them.
 
So with Toad selling out quickly, I have to make sure I'm available when wave 4 comes out. I already have Toad preordered on Amazon, so I'm not worried about him. I prefer to get wave 4 through GameStop though.

Yeah, mp10 is perfectly playable with its usual roster. Being able to add a samus or lucario would still be unoffensively cosmetic and neat at the same time.

I took no offense at all. I guess Waifu talk is bannable offense now. As someone that is new, I feel so awful. I just wanted to make some friends. I actually was happy to see other people like Lucina like me. I wasted to be his friend.

I don't get what Waifu stuff is. I'm a girl that just likes Lucina because she kicks ass. So I don't really understand. I don't know. I just feel bad for playing a part in him being banned.

They said every MP10 amiibo would be abundant save for Mario (timed exclusive to the bundle) and Toad (smaller stock).

It's a goofy idea I had to replace our currency with amiibo based on an earlier post in the thread.

I thought it was just being banned in the Persona thread. Didn't realize we were on a site-wide lockdown. It'd be nice to actually know what the rules are on some of these words now.
 
Preordered Mario 10 Party Bundle and the 5 amiibos for instore pickup.

Paid off a Mario 10 party bundle in store (separate from the in store pick up). Will cancel the instore pick up bundle and 5 amiibos pick up if I can order just instore tomorrow.

TLink: Loose and boxed
Shiek: Loose and boxed
Bowser: Loose and boxed
MegaMan: Boxed, searching for loose
Sonic: Boxed, searching for loose
Ike: None. Searching for both, may have lead at local shop.
DDD: Boxed, loose coming to CDN Walmarts on Friday.
Shulk: Boxed, loose coming from EB soon.
Lucario: Not yet out, coming Friday
Rosalina: Loose, boxed coming from Future Shop.
Meta Knight: Impossible to get without preorders.

So to the person updating the Google doc, remove Villager/Luigi, add in Ike, Sonic, MegaMan and Meta Knight. Also, remove me from C.I.S.O.R, if you don't mind.

I really want robin and ness.

As for wave 3 on the hunt for sheik and Ike. Though most of the stock seems to be coming post 13th. Target is cleaned out in Austin area besides the abundance of bowser stock.

If Preorder online went up for GameStop sold out pretty fast, would that affect GameStop's In-Store Preorder? I'm not sure if it would or not.

at least you don't have to keep worrying about stocks over at NA

The way you are passionate about Mega Man is how I feel about Lucina. It's hard sometimes being a female gamer and not having a lot of characters you can relate to. I know gender isn't always important. Like I love Mega Man he's so iconic. But i was already a fan of FE and I just love her design. She's so kick ass. She's my favorite character ever on Smash.

Don't apologize, I can absolutely relate, and I think it's great you're such a fan. This project is gonna be phenomenal when it's done, and I can't wait to show everyone! It's always good to see like-minded people share the same kind of enthusiasm. Plus, you also like Mega Man, which makes you A-OK in my book!

My hunt for Little Mac begins toorrow. Luckily I'm in Denmark so it shouldn't be that hard. Quite a few Toys R Us stores seem to have it in stock if their website shows the actual stock levels in the stores
