All these Shulk posts are making me hope my guy comes through. I've had a sealed Pit waiting to trade for over a month, but I haven't heard from the guy since the first PMs we exchanged...
 
So, what's "PM" as defined by GameStop? I probably won't get over there until later anyway, but just interested if anyone knows the time to be expecting.
 
ugh i am STILL confused as to how those US exclusives work in Europe?

I mean will i just be able to walk into any store come launch day (when is that wave launching anyway?) and get a Meta Knight here then?

I'm 99% sure it just means "Afternoon". In my area the UPS guy usually makes his deliveries around 1 - 2 PM, so whenever I get a text that says to pick something up in the PM, that's what it usually means.

Maybe Noon? That tends to be the time when UPS delivers their newest stock or whatever at mine.
 
Hey guys! I'm desperately looking for a US Shulk. I can offer a Rosalina, Fox, Sheik or Toon Link to trade.

If any kind GAFer out there could help me out, I'd really, truly appreciate it! Just PM me!
 
We have Shulk set for next day or two in my store, Sheik tomorrow.

We are ONLY getting enough for the preordered ones. Except Toon Link.

We have ONE extra.

Gonna try one last time here before I return them - I have Sheik, Toon Link, and Fox amiibos sealed and in-box I no longer want.

Edit 2: Called my local gamestop in Hopes that their Shulk shipments have come in as well... Nope they still don't know when they'll arrive. :[
 
Got text that my Sheik should be available for pickup tomorrow! And my friend down at GS told me they should be getting Shulk either tomorrow or Thurs. Oh, what a wonderful week!

Now to just wait for Ike and Dedede. :P

Pretty much what I did. I had all of the first two waves...three characters that I didn't even want (Marth, Pikachu, and Diddy Kong), so I sold them. Now I'm just getting the ones that I want. Granted it's still a good bit of them, but hey...
 
So, I just got the phone call about my "game" being ready to pick up tomorrow at GS -- so, I swung by to pay off my Sheik reserve. Guess what? They no longer have my reserve. I showed my email and confirmation number, and they're basically like, "Oh well. Too bad for you."

Quite funny you use a Mr. Bean gif actually. I was watching the Animted Series with my nephew when an episode came on about Toy Collecting.
Basically, he would buy cereal called "pop" and inside would be a toy. However they were always different toys. Teddy builds up a collection on his fire place. Mr.Bean needs the last amii-...toy and goes through ridiculous trials just to get the last toy. Ringing up stores, finding a local rival and even tailing a van carrying the cereal boxes.

It's so similar to Amiibo hunting it's actually kinda scary.

But fun...

...and annoying.
 
So, if I may ask, what could I realistically hope to get in trade for a spare Fox or Yoshi I have? Curious to see what they could become. I'll ask again later if I don't hear back about it.

I got the Yoshi because it seems you can't find one as often anymore, so maybe it's semi-rare?

Any help would be appreciated!
 
According to brick seek I am headed to a target that has 16 rosalinas. Wish me luck!

If they are actually there, how many should I buy?

For Yoshi, nothing I think. Its still readily available in stores and online all the time. For Fox maybe something as rare a Sheik or Toon Link. Fox is always coming back in stock but selling out quick. Checking nowinstock it seems Fox was going back and forth from in stock to sold out today.

Told myself after I collect the entire Smash series I will be selective going forward regarding which Amiibos I purchase, but we'll see how that pans out.

Has anybody who preordered from Newegg received any updates yet? Have Ike and Dedede preordered there and kind of curious as to whether that will pan out at all.

I appreciate the response, thanks. I was hoping Yoshi could become something good, but I guess not. Maybe I'll give it to my brother or something.

Did you get there within the 48 hour limit? If so, contact GameStop CS and preferably escalate to a manger that can actually have an impact. From my experience, GameStop as a whole really treats this poor behavior seriously. You might not get your Shiek, but at least the people who screwed you will find out from management how what they're doing isn't OK.

You can also try contacting GameStop through twitter as they seem to be pretty good at escalating complaints properly.
 
My Dedede, Mega Man, and Ike will be here tomorrow from Amazon... Picking up Shulk from GS tomorrow night. Rosalina is on the slow boat from France for almost a month, who the heck knows what's going on with that... Just leaves Meta Knight who I have preordered through Best Buy.

OH AND WAVE 4. Sigh. I have a feeling many Amiibros are in similar situations!
