No, we mustn't admit that because I totally disagree.Maybe a less relaxed moderation is in order?
i don't think it's fair that every thread regarding this game stears into the same old line of discussion. This was an screenshot thread, so at least people should comment on them.
Leaving the "Grayness awaits" joke aside. i do understand that the color is a good fit for the time period the game takes place. But we must admit it has that distinctive look that we have come to associate with Playstation platforms through out generations.

He's talking about cornbread's tag which says "bish-checked"
Don't know what that has to do with Better Call Saul.

I just can't agree with the last line. Playstation games have extremely varied art styles and color usage throughout their games. About the only other game Order looks "similar" to (and I use it loosely) is Killzone 2.
Dude last place I'd see a spoiler for the show

What it is absurd is taking one innocent comment and making it seem like im talking in absolute terms about the PS consoles entire library. What? This is the first time I've even heard of this. And it's absurd.
Order threads are amazing to read, friends.
Anyway, game looks like sex. Nearly there now.
What it is absurd is taking one innocent comment and making it seem like im talking in absolute terms about the PS consoles entire library.
To better explain myself the intention of the comment was that many of the Playstation bigger and noteworthy exclusives to the platform had that desaturated dreary look: MGS, Silent Hill, GTA III, Kill Zone, etc.
It is not fair that one needs bullet proof every single post to cover the ass because defensive people will over react to anything.
i think this game and the others mentioned looked absolutely brilliant by the way.
Wait. You are bish-checked too? Do you happen to have similar employee privileges like OsirisBlack?

Yes. And that is indeed loosely. But i can relate to that sentiment.I just can't agree with the last line. Playstation games have extremely varied art styles and color usage throughout their games. About the only other game Order looks "similar" to (and I use it loosely) is Killzone 2.
Unless my eyes are mistaken, those are all PS3 games. He claimed that we've come to expect it over "generations."Same artstyle?
Many? Define "many" for us. Crash, Gran Turismo, Jak and Dakter and others were pretty noteworthy for their time. And of course that's ignoring modern "noteworthy exclusives" like Uncharted that looked colorful. To better explain myself the intention of the comment was that many of the bigger and noteworthy exclusives to the platform had that desaturated dreary look: MGS, Silent Hill, GTA III, Kill Zone, etc.

Always amusing how people discards one entire post just to concentrate on the negative part.
But your post isn't even subjective; it's just wrong. What it is absurd is taking one innocent comment and making it seem like im talking in absolute terms about the PS consoles entire library.

So here's some PS2:
PS1 as well:
Not to mention that most of those games are 3rd party...I don't you will be able to properly support that argument. Any way you slice it.

Even among the games you listed, I don't see a huge similarity. GTA3 looks nothing like Killzone or Silent Hill.
Evil Within isn't even in the same galaxy in terms of visuals though.Isn't that what The Evil Within was?
It seems that what you thought you were saying was different from what you actually posted. "Admit" implies wrongdoing. "The look we have come to associate with PS" implies that any desaturated game could be assumed to be a Sony exclusive. What it is absurd is taking one innocent comment and making it seem like im talking in absolute terms about the PS consoles entire library.
Most admit you guys are right, the post could be interpreted in a way that wasn't my intention in the first place. It seems that what you thought you were saying was different from what you actually posted. Same artstyle?
Checks earlier post.Maybe the comment would be more in order if i said: "The dreary/desaturated look popularized in PS platforms, specailly during the PS2 era since the technology allowed developers to experiment with filters and other post process effects".
Is that a bit more digestible at least? XD
Most of them are just because of art direction, basic on war, future, industry or something like that. These themes are very common in gaming world, especially with lots of shooting around which eventually mean it is war - dirty grim foggy. Most admit you guys are right, the post could be interpreted in a way that wasn't my intention in the first place.

Man this thread went apeshit, I wouldn't be surprised if when I wake up there would be discussion about painting of mona lisa.

And it has that frame covering up the edges as well. I want a full canvas, goddammit. That brown painting? Would not go to a museum to see that.

Now that Kinthalis is banned, The Order threads will probably be more chill lol

You've started playing it?
Dammit, I wish there were some stores in MD that I could get a copy early from.
Damn he got banned?
Glad to see that shit isn't tolerated. No one's against a reasonable discussion or criticism but it was clear he had no interest in the game to begin with, just wanted to stir the pot.
