Probably a dumb question, but has it been confirmed that the Super Mario amiibo line will have that black & white checkered look on their bases? And are they really red? The mario on the back of the smash boxes looks like the Super Mario amiibo and his base doesn't look bright red.
My OCD will kill me if they're red.

Unless you find someone here to trade or luck out and find an extremely kind soul, it's very unlikely. Lowest I was able to get one at was $28 and that was only because I had someone in Germany go find me one in a store. If you keep an eye out on amazon.de, you may be able to get him for ~$30 if he pops up again.

Villager is the only of the trinity I missed out on. My local Meijer had him for weeks and I kept passing on him. My roommate bought two amd has the extra sitting in his room and won't sell it to me.
He never did.

Eh, other amiibo apparently give 1UPs and that's about all. If that's the case, it's worthless. If you're a decent gamer, you'll rack up more than enough lives by the end of the game, and even if you're running low,

Huh, so looks like another Shonen Jump game by Namco on the 3DS might be using amiibo. That new Dragon Ball Z fighter might have amiibo support, from what I'm seeing. It's hard to tell from the scan, but it seems Goku is running through a New SMB-style level? It just shows the Mario amiibo.

Sigh, it's been over three weeks now and my Rosalina and Meta Knight imports are still "dispatched from Japan" and have yet to make it here from what tracking is telling me. SAL is supposed to take 3 weeks at most... kicking myself so hard for not going with EMS, just for ease of mind... I still believe they'll make it here since SAL can take longer than expected but still. Of all the amiibos to be in limbo I definitely don't want Rosalina and MK to be the ones at risk

...now that I think about it, I have yet to buy a single amiibo from Best Buy. I imported Meta Knight, and I'll pre-order Wave 4 at Gamestop or Amazon. So I probably won't get any from there.
