But... Don't leave me alone ;_;

I need constant updates from everyone.

I never go there because I just assume everyone is talking about FFXIV or something...

I'll try to see what people talk about there (if I remember to click on the Community tab).

You shouldn't assume. People talking about FF14 typically stay in the FF14 OT. But why would that deter you anyway?

Its weird how FFXV threads shrunk in some way since the game started getting shown a lot more.

I hope this doesn't reflect a general GAF disinterest in the game.

You will evolve XD

On a serious note I hope the impressions are good, for some reason I don't expect a huge divide imo. Outside the people that focuses on grass-gate smh. I just want to get a feel for the lock-on and evade system.

I hope!

But I think the only divisiveness of it I think will be people who watch it or get a hold of it not realizing what has been cut from the demo and all that the demo entails, and be super disappointed because they are expecting too much and also still don't realize that its a game probably a year from release and its a work in progress.

How so? This thread's OP is literally some stills from a trailer that came out focusing on a completely different game (Type-0) and we're on Page 18. Maybe 14 or 15 without the clique banter.

Also nothing's ever going to come close to the TGS 2014 trailer thread, especially after the game missed E3. For very obvious reasons.

The game isn't coming out until later next year. People will be more interested when the thing has a concrete release date.

Because I don't play FFXIV, I don't want to be spoiled about the game.

I also didn't know that XIV had it's own OT.

Impressions thread will be awesome I hope everyone goes gaga playing FFXV for the first time.
Stahp.

I'm dying to get my hands on this, but I won't have a PS4 in time (can I even pre-order digitally from the PSN without a PS4?)

I guess I could post while I'm at work. heh
I want to know what the ending of the demo is and I want to know all the stuff you can do there, and how hard the game is, and how the battle system works, and how hard parrying is, and if Cid is really Cid. There's so much I want to know =X

Never the hype is at an all-time high IMO, people are more relaxed with the constant flow of communication. Besides everyone is expecting FFXV at e3 and TGS this year. We are no longer speculating if it's going to be shown it's refreshing actually.

Believe you can, you can claim PS4 plus games without one and pay for games already released so I don't see why not.

The constant flow of info is refreshing.

Every game has its own OT... so why wouldn't XIV?

And those are going to be released over the course of a month. Sony finally has a solid lineup in Japan for the PS4.

How long can we talk about the same stuff? Nothing really new here.

Well there's no negativity thankfully ,but there was interesting stuff like Tabata AMA last month that hsd a relatively modest turnout on GAF.

But yeah maybe people are just satisfied now and waiting for the release date to start talking
and bitching

Decided to see if my local EB games (Australia) had any stock for Type 0 HD limited edition version. All sold out.

With the ff15 demo it's pretty solid and should hopefully move a fair amount of units.

You also forgot to post superior (lol) 2ch version.

Awesome. I'll buy it in hopes that I can play later this year =X

Well, more like I thought the OT wasn't used anymore. ARR came out a while ago.

Realize the game has a healthy community and receives free updates every three months or so. On top of that it's an online game that people play daily so of course the OT is going to stay active.

As much as I'm looking forward to Episode Duscae, there really isn't much to be hyped about other than we're getting the first proper look and control of the game. Otherwise, we're only getting a small glimpse of the game with not even a release window for the actual game.

God, this email cracks me up.

I suppose. I come from shoddy places of the Internet where this was common to see =X

I'll drop by the FFOT someday then.

Honestly, I frequent the FF Community a lot, but it's just dead. The common criticism about FF fans being fickle and liking the games very different from someone else is probably true and thus there isn't much common ground to discuss a lot of things.

Not to mention that people who post there are more invested in the individual games than the franchise ongoings at large. I instead post on the Persona board, and everyone (including me) knows what's happening with the franchise with not just the mainline games, but the spinoff games, concerts, and anime/movie adaptations as well. It's also much easier for a newcomer to jump in since it's the new hotness.

The MGS Community thread is healthy as well because people like all of the games and have common ground there. FF is just a different beast with too many interests spread out.

Why MGS when you can just use sister franchise KH as an example.

Very few people understand what's going on in KH. Currently playing 2.5 awesome game no idea what the hell is happening storywise lol MGS I know everything plus I like all the games from the series.

Wmlk is right and spot on.

How can you understand MGS but not KH?

Anyway, I need to visit community more often, the only thread I used to post in was the FFXIII PC OT, but I kind stopped after it was moved from the Gaming session.

I need to start clicking the Community tab more often.

E3 #believe story trailer with a release window.
You're not gonna get a release window, since seeing "2016" flash across the screen at a June 2015 event would just be incredibly demoralizing
to the general audience. Not to people like us, who have waited 9 years and would simply get giddy at the thought of any type of release window.

So don't expect any hint of release window until TGS earliest.

Oh, trust me! The MGS community is dead on the inside. ;_; But seriously, I want to post in the FF Community Thread; I just don't have enough experience with the series and don't want to come off as a ding-dong when I post. (But plan to start posting once I finish X!) Hey, who knows? Maybe things will change with the release of XV? Here's hoping!

Or people could use the Community thread a bit more ;) The FF one is lagging behind most of the other big franchise ones.

I think the problem that thread faces is that new FF related threads pop up too often, sometimes a few times a day. Makes people not need to use the community thread since there are so many threads to discuss specific FF elements.

It doesn't feel like interest has gone down that much. If anything the interest in Type 0, since its announcement as a remaster, has gone way down. Almost no one talks about Type 0 in Type 0 threads. SE's bundling of the XV demo with the game is both a bane and a boon to Type 0. People will be buying the game but as a game on its own, Type 0 is hoping to be overshadowed and that probably won't work well if they release more Type 0 games in the future.

Everyone who played it on PSP says Type-0 is good, so I'm willing to the pay the Day One Tax just to get the demo even though I know T-0 HD will be $30 in like 2 months.

I bought Tobal No. 1 on day 1 mainly for the FF VII demo.

I bought Brave Fencer Musashi on day 1 mainly for the FF VIII demo.

I preordered FF Type 0 mainly for the FF XV demo.

No regrets.

Brofist.

Plus Dragon Quest 8 for the FFXII demo. There is history to these FF demo bundles.

Played the demo to DEATH in my junior year of HS.

Hell yes. I must've played through it like 30 times. There was also a second demo which was basically the same thing, except you had Tifa in your party and you could use the Neo Bahamut summon. I almost crapped my pants the first time I saw that. I think it came with some gaming magazine.

Wow how could I forget that one? It was almost surreal playing that after like 5 years of screenshots, E3 demos, etc.

It wasn't a playable demo but a CD-ROM with videos from "Game Players Magazine", I think that was the name of that mag. That magazine spoiled the Aerith death as well as one of the video files. It also showed Neo Bahamut summon during the fight with Palmer in Rocket Town.
